Great getaway--our first visit to Deep Creek

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The house itself is gorgeous & the furnishing are great. The kitchen was well equiped with large pots and pans for cooking for 9 of us. The outside patio had nice adirondack chairs for relaxing and reading and the dining table and chair set on the deck seemed new & was great, especially with the umbrella on it. The hot tub on the lower deck was fantastic too. We enjoyed playing cornhole as well. The firepit is on quite a slope, so it was not great to sit around and the chairs on the lower patio were all broken and in disrepair. The beds (except the king one) were very firm and we did have sore backs because that is not what we are used to. Some bed toppers would be a great addition. Thank you for this overall wonderful place to stay. We loved that it was so close to the beach area and many other neat things to do. We certainly enjoyed our stay & exploring Deep Creek.

Beautiful house overall! Porch was in disarray and quite messy, but really nice kitchen and living space.

Great weekend getaway

This was a fantastic spot close to Deep Creek Lake. The house had plenty of room for the whole family and we enjoyed the spacious deck and the hot tub. A few issues that came up - we didn’t have hot water from Sunday afternoon until we left on Monday morning. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen. The deck was not cleaned before we came, and was very dirty with cobwebs everywhere and on all the furniture outside.

Great place. Great spaces. Got hit with large snowfall and guys showed up to plow without us needing to ask. We planned on a relaxing, laid back few days and we got it. Would recommend bringing your streaming passwords or your own device since their Xfinity cable is only SD.

The family get together was a success! The property and location ideal for guests from WV and Northern VA. Spacious kitchen and dining area. My only suggestions are the following: the kitchen could use two newer medium to large skillets and a new griddle. For the property managers, I would have liked more than two trash bags. Also, there was no hand soap in the bathrooms. If you stay on the property, bring tinfoil, plastic wrap, ziplocks, hand soap, and few large trash bags. Again, nice property and my family had a wonderful visit.

Great place to stay with the family for a few days. A couple things I would change. The fire pit in the backyard is almost impossible to sit around since the property is on a steep hill. It would be nice if there were more couches in the basement for more people to relax. But overall great experience. Located just off the water and in the middle of everything. We had a lot of fun.

The house was beautiful. The intererior very clean. The exterior just needs someone to come and power wash and get cob webs off in corners etc. The beds were comfy. The downstairs area with pool table and bar was awesome. We called when we got there because our hot tub was clear but had a greenish tint. With ur 20 minutes they came and fixed it. We ran needed gas for the grill the second day and they came in about an an hour after we called We suggest bringing gallons of bottled water. The water is is not too tasty from faucet and the filtered water in the fridge is slow. I think it may be well water or minerals in it. The property is close to a road that is fairly busy. So we could hear that when outside. Super close to the state beach and dutches at silver tree/ harbor bar was amazing!uts an out door restaurant that had a playground for the kids and u could bring dogs. ❤️ amazing food and beverages !

Railey vacation rentals were very quick in answering emails on issues to which they came right out to remedy. Everyone I dealt with there were all very nice!! Nice area, quiet. House had very nice woodwork, just some tlc needed to freshen up property.

This is a rustic home with high ceilings and great windows to take in the scenery. Beautiful view of the lake. We went in the winter and the indoor temps greatly varied: basement-ice cold, main floor-cool, and top level was extremely warm. There was a space heater provided for the basement which really helped. All appliances we tried worked and the house was very clean and well stocked.

Red Moose is a nice house. There were some cleaning and maintenance issues that we experienced. The backyard is a hillside and we were not expecting that. The house is in a great location making it easy to get to everything. Overall we had a nice visit.

Larger than it looks and great location but needs some TLC

This home is spacious and beautifully decorated with the moose theme/ decor. Close to the State Park and nice to have free access to indoor pool at the local rec center. There are a lot of maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Also fire pit is on a hill so we didn’t do much sitting by the fire.

We loved it! Spent a lovely weekend with my book club here and it was the perfect secluded but close enough to everything location. Great space and open areas—loved the porch!

Perfect cozy getaway

We had a wonderful time with our family here! This place has is very clean and has a great cozy cabin feel which made it feel like home instantly. Having a hot tub, fire places, game room and a kitchen that had everything we needed to stay in and cook made it super convenient and fun. Just a quick 5 minute drive to stores and grocery shops in downtown deep creek and just 10/15 minute drive to Wisp ski resort. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home getaway!

Initial perception upon entering this home was breathtaking. Very well maintained and decorated log cabin style home with beautiful views and mountain breeze. Sleeps 3 couples comfortably with a children's room with 2 beds. While the home is big it has warm and quaint qualities.

The home is beautiful, but there is not enough comfortable seating. Also, we did not like having the hot tub on the deck...it was very windy.

Red Moose Lodge was a very comfortable house with great amenities. The wifi was the best we've ever had at a Deep Creek rental (which was good for my wife who worked while I and the kids skiied). With all the MOOSE depictions throughout the house, it felt like we were in a theme park! The kids loved it, and it certainly worked for us!

The house was spacious and comfortable. It is close to parks and the water. Evenings in the hot tub, or by the fire pit, were relaxing as were early mornings with coffee on the deck.
