The property owner owns the land on the other side of the road, but you must cross the road to access the water for swimming or use of the dock (if applicable). Split Lake Front does not necessarily mean you have a view of the water, since much of our shoreline is wooded.

Cozy up and relax in this quaint red cottage located just off 219! Red Cottage offers you a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Let the bubbles soothe away and stresses and allow yourself to unwind and enjoy your time away. Enjoy the beautiful filtered lake views while kicking it back in the sunroom or breathe in the fresh mountain and lake air while sipping your morning coffee on the front porch swing. A quick climb down the stairs and a (careful) walk across route 219 will place your right at your dock. Located on the main section of the lake you are just a short drive - or boat ride! - from fabulous restaurants, cute boutiques, the creamery, and so much more! Gather around the campfire at the end of the day for s’mores and to reminisce about the day and plan for the next day ahead. Book a stay at Red Cottage to get away today!

ACCESS DETAILS:
Lake access and dock slip are located down the stairs in front of the home and across Route 219. Be careful crossing the street as there is no cross walk. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

COMMUNITY/AREA DETAILS:
Located along Route 219 at Deep Creek Lake.
This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

Had a wonderful time and felt so at peace being able to sit on the porch and watch the lake. Would love to come back. I grew up on Lake Ontario and miss not living on a lake.

We had a good time at parks and at the lake, but we found this home to only be average in comfort and amenities (hot tub wasn't very hot, road was incredibly loud). Overall we would not rent here again and the house was the low point of our trip.
