However, the bliss doesn’t stop there. The home sits nestled away in the trees providing a serene sense of privacy while still being right next to the lake! Take time out of your day to enjoy the vast back yard playing basketball or sit by the fire pit and roast s’mores while sharing campfire stories. On cool evenings soak it up in the hot tub while taking in the nature and on hot days take a short walk down to the water to enjoy the dock and surrounding lake views before hopping in your boat to spend the day out and about on the lake! This is a very nice house for a large crowd. It was our second Thanksgiving week stay. We had 6 adults and 4 kids under the age of 10. The children loved the house, lots of rooms for laser tag. The number of seats in the living room plus, the 3 gas fireplaces, and the 4 bed bunk room makes it one of our favorite houses. Having a second living room and the sun room lets everyone spread out. In the 3 years since our last stay, the place has been well maintained. I read previous poor reviews and feel those issues have been resolved. We had no internet problems.

This house far exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was the most well stocked out of many vacation homes we have stayed in. Lake access and location was perfect for fishing and having children play on the shore. The layout was also great for children with the game room and swing set being a big hit! The hot tub was an added bonus to relax on cool nights. If we had a lake house we would mirror it after this one. Definitely will be renting again! Our young children did not want to leave!

The house is very nice. I have a couple of complaints. Ice makers do not work, stove, toaster, blender, and dishwasher work sooo slow. The dishwasher leaks. You can’t see the lake very well like advertised . The big porch should be on the main level not the bottom level outside of the bed rooms. The bed rooms and many bathrooms are very nice.

The property was as advertised. Check in was easy. It was well suited for a large group with plenty of bedroom and king sized beds. The kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of space to spread out or spend time together. There were some issues with the internet and a broken grill, but maintenance was sent out quickly to take a look at the issues.

The house was perfect for our family of 12, ages 4 to 71. We had plenty of space. The game room/family room was a big hit. The jungle gym outside was great, the hot tub was beautiful. I can go on and on about everything good about the house.The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the fact that the internet/WIFI was completely inadequate, which was important for us.Be aware of the steep slope down to the dock/lake.

We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Retreat very much. From the very comfortable beds to the large living areas with lots of very comfy seating to the great views of the lake. We enjoyed eating our breakfast outside on the very comfortable deck furniture, while enjoying the view of the lake as well. Kitchen was also very well stocked. We hope to come back soon!

Paradise Retreat was the perfect house to rent for a group of high school friends to get together. The huge kitchen, dinning, and living area was ideal for congregating and reminiscing. The outside decks were also a lovely way to enjoy the lake views and the weather was ideal for taking advantage of the dock! I would highly recommend this house and will return for next reunion.

This house is great for a family of 11. There is plenty of space, the living room couch is amazing (especially for having 11 people watch the Olympics), the sunroom is perfect for some quiet time, beds were great, and the hot tub is one of the best we have had. There is some seaweed around the dock, but it actually did not bother anyone at all. The photos showed 12 table chairs, but there were only 10 and that made one person not have a chair. There were also no balls for the foosball or ping pong tables, so bring your own. We had a wonderful week.

The house was beautiful and functional. The layout was wonderful for several families with kids. The kitchen was well stocked and there are two large refrigerators. Great tv's with streaming. The lake is beautiful and quite clean. The lake is quite rough and wavey so if you bring a boat or jet skies be prepared for some dock rash. Our skies got pretty beat up even with boueys. Overall great vacation!!

This was a great house for our 3 families first vacation in Deep Creek. The kitchen was large and well stocked and they even had an air fryer. Plenty of room for our 6 kids to run around and play. We appreciated having two washers and dryers with all the beach towels we needed to wash. We had two urgent issues (AC not working and a hornet nest) we called maintenance for and they were quick to respond and fix promptly. There were some minor issues that I have reported to the rental company but nothing that ruined our week. This is a great location, very quick walk down a gentle slope to the lake.

Quiet and serene area! Beautiful and spacious home provided everything we needed for our multi-generational family group! Loved the basketball hoop, pool table, pingpong, and foosball tables. Hot tub was a hit! Loved our stay!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We enjoyed all the amenities, privacy and comfort this home provided. Plenty of room for our extended family to gather together or have some alone time. Access to the lake was wonderful and a lovely spot. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious enough for a few cooks to prepare meals.Location was perfect to reach downtown Oakland or McHenry. We had a great stay with our children and grandchildren. House worked well. Having 2 areas, 1 for the kids toys and a place for adults to play games and gather. Lots of things to do outside the home in the winter, skiing, tubing bowling...etc.
