The house was very nice. My only complaints are showers were to small. And we are not big people. The upstairs floors really creak a lot hard to sleep in the master bottom bed when people are walking around at night. The fan in the master bedroom was noisy. We could not figure out the TV in the rec room. Maybe have instructions. There were 3 remotes and we couldn’t get it to work.

Our group of 4 adults loved our stay at Good Vibrations. We had plenty of room to spread out and managed to use all of the fantastic amenities - fireplace, outdoor fire pit, hot tub and lower level game room! The kitchen was very well stocked with every type of small appliance, pots/pans and serving platters. Beds were super comfortable. We would stay here again with no hesitation!

My mom and I had an extended stay here and enjoyed the home thoroughly! Kudos to the owner for the cozy and accommodating environment. Very clean, modern home. I stayed in the larger room upstairs and the bed was so comfortable. Mom had downstairs and slept comfortably too. Many rentals have hot tubs under the deck at ground level, but this one is on the deck, well covered and positioned to enjoy the scenery. We cooked daily and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything and more. I worked almost daily and the wifi well supported me and our streaming needs on multiple devices. Nothing can compare to the view of the tree canopy from the deck and many windows, the deer and wildlife, and peaceful calm of this wooded retreat. We enjoyed it so much, we've booked another stay for later this year and plan to return annually. Thank you also to Railey staff as we travel to DCL several times a year and are always happy with your service!

Beautiful house! A few suggestions

The house was BEAUTIFUL and the kudos to the owners - the game room downstairs was awesome, just added to the experience. This place has everything you need: fireplace, fire pit, games, many dishes and tools, hot tub, and more. Another HUGE benefit for us was the EV charger - we loved plugging in our electric car. A few things to note: 1. as others have noted, there is a big difference in temperature from level to level - basement was freezing, main floor perfect, upper level hot. 2. the pathway to the front door (sidewalk) was narrow with the encroaching plants. Not a huge deal, but a little trimming would improve appearance and experience. 3. the driveway. Nothing that can be done here, I don't think, but that was a negative for us - specifically the steepness entering and exiting. I had to take is really slow and at just the right angel to avoid scraping my front bumper on the pavement. There are tons of grooves on the road and driveway where others weren't as successful. Overall, we had a wonderful time and the property is excellent!

On behalf of the owners we did want to inform you that they have recently placed in central air to better help with this issue. We will be sure to pass these suggestions concerning the walkway to the homeowners and our maintenance department so that we can maintain the walkway! Otherwise we are so please that you had a great vacation and we hope to have the opportunity to rent to you again in the future!

Great Vacation House in Garrett County Maryland

Awesome location. Near Deep Creek Lake and Swallow Falls State Park and tons of places in McHenry. Home is in great shape. Tons of room. Well appointed (it had everything we were looking for). Fun game room in the basement. Comfy furniture and bedding. Everything VERY clean. Easy to use gas fireplace. Only thing somewhat negative was that the top floor was significantly warmer than the first floor. The people staying upstairs needed to run the ceiling fan in their bedrooms. Minor issue. NOTE: When they say you need four wheel drive, they mean it (especially in the winter). The roads to the house and the driveway itself is very steep. Overall - excellent house with excellent value. I would highly recommend this.

We’re so glad you had a great time at Good Vibrations, William! We’ll have our team take a look at the temperature regulation throughout the home to be sure everything is in order. Unfortunately, some layouts don’t allow for a lot of modification, leaving the top floor naturally warmer than the lower floors, but we will do our best to ensure each area of the home is being warmed/cooled properly. You’re absolutely right about needing 4WD in Deep Creek - especially in the winter, we do not recommend bringing along any vehicles that are not AWD at a minimum. Thanks for reiterating this point for our future guests! Interior was nicely appointed and very clean. Perfect amount of space for our family. Disappointed in hot tub and outdoor area- landscaping and outdoor area not well maintained.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful! You can’t help but stare in awe when you arrive. It’s very up to date but still gives the serenity of a cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. I would recommend this cabin to everyone and will definitely be coming back!

Peace and quiet in this dreamy log cabin

Wow! What a fantastic stay. The home was perched atop a mountain with gorgeous views. We used the hot tub, we played air hockey, pool and even Pac-Man on the old school arcade. We barbecued and ate on the deck, and used the fire pit for s’mores and roasting hotdogs. We slept amazing on the super comfortable beds and relaxed in front of the huge stone fireplace. The house was just immaculate. There was so much to do. We will definitely come back.

Snowy cabin in the woods

The house was clean and beautiful. We stayed three nights and got over a foot of snow. The driveway and neighborhood are super hilly. If renting in the winter, it definitely requires 4-wheel drive. The kids loved the basement and hot tub. The scenery is beautiful and peaceful. We would love to rent again in the summer and winter.

This house has a perfect location with tons of space! It’s not far from the lake, but just far enough back that you feel like you have a secluded space in the woods. The house is just beautiful and made for a great backdrop for a weekend with friends, which was exactly what we needed during this pandemic, where our interpersonal relationships have been considerably strained. We will definitely be back!

What a perfect escape. The house is so cute and had lots to do. Big open main space made it a great place to gather. Close to wisp so we will be back when it snows.

This was a very beautiful private cabin for adults and kids! The kids always had something to do and the adults could relax! Amazing scenic view while driving there. Very clean and so much fun!

This home is well appointed for all ages! We enjoyed the air hockey and pool tables. All meals out on the deck under the trees utilizing the well-appointed kitchen. The beds all very comfortable. Fire pit and seating awesome. We loved our stay and did not want our week to end. Definitely Good Vibrations!

This house was fantastic!! Beautiful furnishings and comfortable beds, kitchen, hot tub and all amenities were met! Far enough away from other properties that we felt alone but not totally secluded. Such a great rental, I would rent it again!!

This cabin is so nice!! It was very pretty and I like that it was more secluded in the woods. The views were amazing. The cabin description was perfect and no hidden suprises. This vacation was for a birthday/ girls trip. The home was very clean and spacious. The Railey staff were always available if I had any questions and concerns. Check in and check out was very easy since it was mobile. I would recommend this cabin!! I will definitely be returning.

The house was very roomy and in fairly good shape. All of the rooms are very dark and could use more lighting. The kitchen could use additional supplies. The bathrooms are not the best.

Our weekend stay was fantastic! We couldn't have asked for a better house or weather. Really was a relaxing and much needed get away for all. Looking forward to booking our next trip. We had a lovely stay at Makin Memories! The house was clean and pristine! Everything we needed to cook great meals, plenty of games, and the most comfortable beds! We will definitely be back! Can’t stop thinking about the Jacuzzi on the deck, and beautiful scenery outside!
