The view and the location are really nice. The house is old and the kitchen is bare bones. There is no garbage disposal and it is a wood burning fireplace. There are zero extras given.

Deep Creek Shangri-La was an affordable getaway. Pros included close proximity to all attractions of McHenry, great hot tub, and the house was very clean. Cons include kitchen in poor condition, and bunk beds that are metal and shake and squeak when one child moves in bed and will make up others in the room. Overall, it was a good house and affordable as a last minute getaway.

Absolutely loved the home, guest enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Home is in great location of all restaurants and entertainment facilities. Nice view of the ski slopes and really loved seeing how well stocked the kitchen was for our family celebrating Thanksgiving early to all be together. Home has plenty of room for everyone. Dogs enjoyed the nice big yard to run through. Will definitely rent this home again.

After some issues with a rental through a different agency Railey came to our rescue!! The agent at Railey was so helpful trying to find us accommodations for the same night and within the same general area. Fortunately, Deep Creek Shangri-La was available, fit our needs perfectly and provided a great home base for visiting Deep Creek. The yard was very large which was so nice for our pups to roam around and there is only one neighbor close by so we had plenty of quiet time to relax on the deck and in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor grill worked like a charm for grilling steaks and veggies for dinner. We had a warm and cozy fire each night while enjoying the large comfortable sectional in the living room. I would highly recommend Railey and Deep Creek Shangri-La for your travel needs. They both literally saved our vacation.

Quite enjoyed our time in Garrett County and the house was a good home base for exploring. Really straightforward rental experience. Loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long hike. House was what we needed, near most everything, and as-advertised. Definitely a more budget-friendly option in an area where rentals can get really expensive really quickly.

This house was in an awesome location, was very clean, and had lots of activities included (pool, ping pong, hot tub, board games). I would 100% stay here again IF they got new beds. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They were sunken in, badly misshapen, and hard. You could tell they were very old and have well outlived their lifetime. After waking up sore all over and extremely unrested my wife and I ended up sleeping on the sofa over the beds the rest of our stay. I would give this place 5 stars if they got new, improved beds. Until then, I would check out some other options.

Close to Wisp, Lake, Grocery store, restaurants. Wifi quality was not good. Streaming content on the TV was constantly freezing. Needs an upgrade. Wifi needs an upgrade and kitchen supplies were somewhat limited, but otherwise decent and good size for two families.

The house is big and in a wonderful location. It's close to many places to eat. The hot tub is clean and works great. The house was also clean. Def recommend a new bed in the master bedroom since it was very hard and caved in. Also recommend getting cable for the tvs.

Great place to stay with a beautiful view of Wisp! This was our second time staying here and we loved it. It was only a couple minute drive from wisp, the grocery store, right across the street from black bear and just a 14 minute drive to Walmart. (Reviewed on Airbnb)

This place needs a lot of work to be worth the rental fee (lots of broken handles, loose faucets, dirty surfaces, etc.) Don't expect to watch movies or tv uninterrupted and not an appropriate internet connection for downloading or working remotely. No safe or convenient places to walk your dog. Smells faintly of smoke upon entering. Be prepared for road noise. The only disappointing Railey property we've rented.

The amenities for the Deep Creek Lake Shangri-La definitely had their fair share of usage, pool/ping pong table in rough condition and missing the cue ball, hot tub was nice but no real outside lightening to see, the kitchen was not fully equipped, cooking utensils were scarce and very cheap, the place had a grimy feel to it and could have used some major cosmetic fixings inside.

Definitely stay here! Close to everything but also private. Great house and we had a place but the WiFi wasn’t great- so just an FYI that working remote or streaming will be difficult. Sometimes it worked decently sometimes not at all. (Reviewed on Airbnb)

We'll be sure to take a look at any improvements we can make for the WIFI strength and reach, although in the rural setting sometimes it can be very limited in general for the area. Nonetheless, we'll make sure there's nothing else we can do on our end to make it better! LOVED IT. It’s not lake front, but you’re a quick drive to deep creek lake state park. It was clean, comfortable, quiet. Would definitely stay again. (Reviewed on Airbnb)
