Our stay over Thanksgiving was perfect! The house was spotless and had everything in kitchen to cook and host Thanksgiving dinner. The decorations and fixtures are beautiful and I would love to have in my own home. You can’t beat the view. We saw deer and wild turkeys daily. We had four kids ages 2 to 13 and everyone was happy with the game room and cornhole that was provided. We will be staying here again for sure!

First, I’ll say that the customer service was great and the team was very responsive. I had no issues with the hosts! - however, this Airbnb is not worth the price. Other reviews mention a dirty hot tub and ours was no different - dirt, debris, and even old press-on finger nails were in our hot tub. I also now have a bacterial infection on my foot the day after using (unsure if related, but it’s suspicious) Shower heads were dirty and rusted, towel hooks barely hanging on the wall. The glasses provided were stained, chipped, and dirty. The kitchen utensils were broken. The living room fireplace was broken (they did notify us of the fireplace the day of) I’m sure this place was fantastic a few years ago, but it’s certainly been through too many visits now with not enough upkeep. I’d recommend this place if it were cheaper, but at the price point.. there are many nicer places in Deep Creek.

The house was very nice to stay and the surrounding area had a lot to offer. We hiked, kayaked, playground, waterfalls all very kid friendly . The house was very accommodating with fire pit, hot tub, pool table, ping pong, Foosball, and great kitchen. Very enjoyable 😉

Everything was absolutely perfect with the small caveat of no hot tub servicing during our stay. Aside from that, it was a phenomenal experience!

We had a wonderful time during our stay! Each family had their own wing giving us lots of space but also a large living area where we could come together. There’s a great indoor patio area with games and a beautiful hot tub. We had pretty crummy weather so we were mostly inside but we were able to enjoy all the home’s wonderful amenities.

The house was beautifully designed and had a perfect layout for families who want different lounging areas and plenty of private space. But the house really needed some repairs — it’s clear it hasn’t been maintained I’m some time. There was a shattered window, a broken balcony, lots of peeling paint, etc. Overall it’s a special house conveniently located near lots of restaurants and shops, it just needs some attention.

This was the perfect home for our family vacation. It was spacious and comfortable enough for our group with adults and small children to relax and have fun. The home was clean and well-furnished with everything you’d need in the kitchen and for entertainment. It snowed during our stay and the vacation staff took measures to ensure safety on our property which was nice. Some parts of the home need updating, but otherwise it was nothing major that hindered us from enjoying our stay. We would rent this home again!

this house exceeded our expectations! the location was perfect and gave us the privacy we needed for our girls weekend! the air/heat wasn’t proportional to the house one side was really hot the other side was cooler. the kitchen was fantastic very nicely equipped! The grounds and amenities were nice we would definitely stay again!

Castle off the shore was just perfect for our group of friends to gather , reconnect, do some gaming, and more that anything relax with great fellowship. The house was beautiful, in a quiet area, surrounded by trees. Spacious for the 6 of us and with all the amenities needed.

Castle Off The Shore is a nice vacation home with an interesting layout. We did like how the upstairs was separated into “wings” with separate staircases. The house was decorated tastefully and updated. The house does need many cosmetic repairs throughout the home. For paying as much as our group did for five days, we expect few cosmetic damages. For example, the couch is ripped in one place and the bathrooms appeared to need a more thorough cleaning. The hot tub also did not work for our entire stay, even after two technicians came to attempt to fix it. One technician admitted that this hot tub had not been properly working for the three weeks prior to our stay. Railey Realty should have notified us of this or compensated us in some way. The outdoor furniture also needs updated and cushions added. The landscaping needed tended to as well. Overall, the house was nice but not worth the price we paid for only five days.

Large home in need of repairs

It’s a big house It’s functional but overall maintenance of the house is lacking The deck needs some repairs (lightening, warped boards, mold, resealing) The water pump, or whatever this house has is not sufficient for the amount of people it’s advertised to accommodate The ‘game room’ is completely unusable as everything has been broken and not replaced over probably years of visitors Everyone is going to find comfort on different types of beds but as a group the consensus was they were cheap and not comfortable

This house was perfect for a group with it being broken up in to different wings of the house. We had 10 people and it was the perfect size for our group.

This house was the perfect Mother's Day getaway for me and my friends. It was a chilly, rainy weekend, so we enjoyed the hot tub and Netflix/Amazon Prime. We had 7 ladies cooking in the kitchen without stepping all over each other - that's impressive! The way that 2 of the bedrooms and a bathroom are separated from the main part of the home was ideal for those who wanted to sleep in late while the early risers banged around in the kitchen each morning. The location is great - close to everything you'll need for the weekend (grocery stores, restaurants, the lake, State Park, etc.). The decor was on point. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was great and is great for a family gathering or fun with a group of friends for a quiet and cozy weekend get away. I would totally recommend this place to everyone and definitely plan on coming back in the future! This place is really clean with modern amenities, loads of games, WiFi, cable television, great kitchen, bathrooms, and plenty of games to keep everyone occupied.

We really enjoyed this home. Someone mentioned how it looked like an hgtv dream home and it did! The three fireplaces were wonderful as we had some cold weather during our stay. We had some great family time with the hot tub, foosball and pool. A few minor things - there was not enough propane in the tank to grill. The propane was turned all the way in the on position when we arrived so maybe that’s why. That was a little disappointing since we’d planned on grilling. One way we think the house could be improved a little is to provide some staples that we have always found in rentals: salt and pepper, at least one hand soap, some tin foil, plastic wrap, maybe some cleaning spray for the counters, those kind of things. We were caught flat footed on that and for the price and quality of this home would have expected some of those little extras. Otherwise a perfect stay and would definitely come back here if in the area again!

Beautiful house! We have been to the area every year for 17 years and this house was fantastic. Every bed was comfortable and the rooms are quiet enough for late sleepers (noise does carry some into the loft so heavier sleepers there!). Fireplaces kept the dining room and living rooms cozy. The hot tub was perfect in the snow! The office was great in responding - we were missing the fireplace tools for the wood burning fireplace.

Very positive experience. Minor maintenance problems but quickly and efficiently corrected by maintenance crew. Beach and kayaking nearby. Beautiful location.

We had a wonderful time staying at this rental home. It was beautifully decorated, situated in a great location (less than a mile from the boat dock), clean and maintained very well, wonderful games/pingpong table/hot tub, etc. We had a fun time boating, hiking at the local state park, and lounging in the house. The only thing I would have liked was extra "special items" (i.e., dish soap, laundry detergent, dish washing pods, etc.) since we came from very far out of town, and it's easy to forget those things, but definitely not a setback. I would highly recommend this house to anyone, and we hope to come back! Just beautiful!
