Originally a Carmelite Monastery, this spectacular ten-bedroom lodging house operated for 25 years as a popular bed & breakfast resort, making it uniquely suited to welcoming guests and providing a spectacular experience for all. With an expansive design built for comfort, this property boasts all master suites, each with their own full bathroom, and many with large private terraces with outdoor seating, whirlpool baths, and fireplaces. You’ll be delighted to find that each guest is assured of a private and luxurious stay!



With large rooms and top-of-the-line vacation amenities, this property is perfect for family gatherings, corporate retreats, and fun getaways between adult couples. You’ll find the extensive DVD collection makes it easy to host a movie-night on the large screen in the Great Room. You can even take a favorite movie back to your room, as each bedroom comes with their own flat screen television with DVD player! 



The outdoor space, lake access, and outdoor amenities at Carmel Cove work together to create an experience unlike any other at the lake! To help make the most of your time in Deep Creek, fishing equipment, tennis equipment, and sleds are all available for your enjoyment, free of charge! As an added bonus, the large parking lot at Carmel Cove provides plenty of space for parking vehicles and maneuvering around in an easy, safe, and efficient manner: a unique feature for a boarding house!! 



Secluded on two acres, Carmel Cove offers unmatched privacy amidst the splendor of nature, while maintaining a prime location along a central lake location. Once outside, a lovely five-minute walk will take you down a wooded trail to your dock slip and community swim platform with ladder, along a quiet, peaceful cove of the lake, just across from Deep Creek Lake State Park. Carmel Cove is one of the few “No-Wake” coves of the lake, making it an ideal spot for swimming, fishing, and kayaking along tranquil lake waters.



When it is time to get out and explore the lake, you’ll find yourself located just two minutes away from Deep Creek Lake State Park and three minutes away from area shopping, dining, and recreational activities, as well as a local grocery store and movie theater. Wisp Resort, our local four-season adventure park, is just ten minutes away. With an incredible location, a host of on-site amenities, and fabulous interior comforts, there is no experience on the lake quite like Carmel Cove!

It was so nice to get away for a weekend. With all the changes in life 2020 has brought, Carmel Cove reminded myself and our guests we can still enjoy life to the fullest.

Fantastic home for a large families. We had 10 boys in the house and you never knew it. Kitchen was amazing and the ice maker was an added bonus. Love this house so much!

The house was the perfect spot for our refreshing retreat. Having our own master suite was wonderful. The setting was perfect and the owners made sure everything was in place and ready when we arrived. Rooms were clean, kitchen fully stocked, welcome back with detailed instructions...all of it made this place wonderful!

A unique, charming, secluded property in Swanton, Md perfect for a large group retreat or family gatherings. The rich history of the property is echoed throughout in the furnishings, photography and books provided to the guest to enjoy. The great room is spacious, well appointed, with ample seating and a well used billiards table. There are ten well appointed bedrooms each with private bathrooms, all with shower, some with tubs as well. The kitchen, equipment with commercial grade appliances, is outfitted with everything you would need to prepare and serve meals for a large group. In addition, the two stainless steel outdoor grills are brand new and a pleasure to cook on. The deck, picnic tables, outdoor seating and jacuzzi allow the guests to enjoy dining and socializing outdoors. The community shared dock, a significant hiking distance from the property, allows access to the lake, while the fire pit with Adirondack chairs affords the group to enjoy the outdoors at night. The guest shed is outfitted with outdoor gear (water tubes, fishing poles, portable chairs, etc). Finally the downstairs utility area houses two sets of washer/driers and supplied detergent. A very comfortable, well appointed property.<br /><br /><strong>Managers Note: The dock is just a one minute drive from the home for guests that  do not want to walk. There is convenient parking near the dock. </strong>
