This “wow factor” great room is the perfect place for family gatherings and entertaining large groups. Gather everyone around the rustic farmhouse dining table for a home cooked meal and plan your adventure filled days ahead. Classic hardwood floors guide you through the open floor plan of the main level and out onto the deck overlooking the woodsy back yard. What wildlife will you spot during your stay? Relax on the deck and soak up the afternoon and check for visitors or enjoy an evening drink, take in the fresh mountain air, and watch the sunset. With multiple spaces to do some work from home and an amazing lower level game area equipped with a full bar and multiple games, you can work and play all day long! Enjoy a day on the lake with the use of your designated dock and community lake access and after, relax in the bubbles of the hot tub or enjoy some s’mores around the campfire. With the amazing home amenities, close proximity to community amenities (the tennis courts are right across the street!) and the lake right at the bottom of the hill, this home has a little something for everyone! So get underway! Climb aboard, anchor down, and enjoy your smooth sailing vacation at Captain Jack’s!

ACCESS DETAILS: 
Lake access and dock slip are located at the Mountainside Marina Club located off of Route 219, next to the Lakeside Creamery. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

This home is located in the Mountainside Community at Deep Creek Lake.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

We loved staying in this home Captain Jacks , with just a few exceptions that needed some updates and maintenance. We had plenty of room for our family vacation. Overall it is a beautiful place. Easy access to the lake and shops.

Amazing house and great communication from Railey’s side. Only complaint was the explanation and map of where the dock slip was located was off and it was very hard to find from the information given. Once we found the dock it was great. 10/10 would recommend and use again.

Just returned from our stay at Captain Jack’s! What a beautiful home! It’s a warm and cozy mountain/lake escape! We stayed for a 50th birthday party and it was perfect for our group of 14! So much room and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped…had everything we needed. We all had so much fun enjoying the amenities of the home and it’s so close to all that Deep Creek has to offer! Would, and will, stay here again!

Captain Jacks house was perfect for our large group! Loved the layout and large kitchen. Ice maker doesn’t work and we had to buy bagged ice, no biggie! Guest room up stairs would be better if bed was switched out, leather headboard that’s squeak when the kids moved in their sleep! We could it hear it through the floor in the bedroom below. We ran out of propane during our stay and had to replace it but emailed the receipt to Railey and we’re reimbursed within minutes! Great service!

Our family just returned from our five day stay at Captain Jacks for a ski trip and had a wonderful time. There were fifteen people in our group and the house had enough room for everyone. We enjoyed the large kitchen table for group meals and game nights. The house was in perfect distance to the Wisp. My only complaint is the pull out sofa in the den area needs to be replaced and the air mattress that was provided had a hole in it.

Captain Jack's is a great place to make memories at Deep Creek Lake. The house provides great spaces to spread out when needed yet gather together as well. Love having tennis courts for a quick game and the boat slip in the summer. Looking forward to another trip next year!

As soon as you pull into the driveway at Captain Jacks, you can tell this property is well maintained. Beautiful home, spotless and welcoming. I spent a fun-filled long weekend there with some of my best friends and the house was roomie enough for all of us. The large couches, huge kitchen island and spacious bedrooms, gave everyone plenty of space to spread out or huddle close to enjoy the company. Perfect place for a girls weekend! Everything you needed was there and the place was so clean and open. Plenty of room for games, hanging out and enjoying your favorite beverage on the deck enjoying the beautiful scenery. The game room was an excellent gathering place and made the nights so fun. This was a WONDERFUL, comfortable, roomy, clean, and PERFECT place for my family of 9 to escape to for 3 1/2 days. Even my young grandsons LOVED IT. We were all elated that we got to stay in this particular house. I would do it again in a heartbeat. My entire family LOVED IT. Pictures of our stay on Facebook has all of our friends asking "WHERE IS THAT - IT's BEAUTIFUL"! I've recommended it to many. AWESOME place to stay.

The home was perfect for our family to be together, plenty of space. We played games and set up tournaments the entire weekend, 3 generations! This house is the best equipped of any we have ever rented!

We were so happy with our stay at Captain Jacks! The home has so much room and has everything we needed for a fun getaway. The house was very clean and had so much room to gather as a large group as well as plenty of space to sneak away for a nap or some quiet time in one of the roomy bedrooms. The kids loved the gameroom with pool table and hot tub just outside. Highly recommend!!

Great house!! good location - close to the lake and loved the pickle ball courts across the street. Our group also took advantage of the field behind the courts for a few games of volleyball!

Captain Jacks is a fabulous, well stocked, great decor, & welcoming house with very large bedrooms & bathrooms. This house has a great backyard view of lush trees & site directly across from tennis & pickle ball courts. Our group had everything we needed at Captain Jacks from games to a firepit to a hot tub. The kitchen & living room area offer large spaces for everyone to sit & feel comfortable. We will definitely rent Captain Jacks for our next trip to Deep Creek.

High School Reunion

Long overdue weekend reunion with our best friends and their families. Large, spacious, clean and modern home perfect for several families to enjoy. Perfect location in the middle of the lake. Close to many of Deep Creeks best attractions. Private dock for Capt Jack guests is perfect for fishing, sunbathing and boating. Wooded surrounding great for fire pit at night and yard games. Already booked a winter getaway to enjoy the ski slopes at Wisp.

Our group loved Captain Jacks! We cannot say enough good things about our experience. Such a beautiful home with plenty of space and cute decor. The large island in the kitchen was a popular gathering spot and the table and couch had enough seating for our entire group. We loved the downstairs bar area and the hot tub had a beautiful view of the sun setting. Everything was very clean and the location was also very convenient. We will definitely be booking here again!!

The house was well appointed with everything needed or wanted - including holiday decor. Its so spacious but still felt cozy, like home away from home. My daughter loved the bear room and we enjoyed the King master. We had fun playing pool in the basement. Thanks for everything!

Captain Jack’s had everything we needed for a lovely Thanksgiving! The kids loved the basement, yard, hot tub, community center, and bunk house. It even snowed for us the day after Thanksgiving!

This place beyond words ! It had so much room for family fun and together time ,! The view was beautiful ! The home it’s self was breathtaking .The decorating and furnishings were amazing ! Yet comfortable ! So many fun things to do just at the house and on the property . Highly recommend ! We can’t wait to go back again !
