Formerly known as Creature Comforts, this newly-renovated home is thoughtfully styled and decorated with your fantastic Deep Creek vacation in mind. Whether you are looking for an adventure-packed day on or around the lake or a calm and relaxing day at home, Better Days has you covered. With a private dock, wooded setting, dual decks, and so much more, this home is perfect for a quiet weekend or week-long stay at the lake. Gather around the table in the modernized kitchen/dining area or unwind in the great room equipped with contemporary wood floors, plush furnishings, cathedral ceilings, and a stone fireplace. Head to the lower level to take advantage of the Xbox One and Wii U game consoles, or relax in the hot tub or in the screened porch while taking in the fresh mountain air and filtered lake views. Enjoy the eight smart TVs throughout the house, each with access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Showtime, Disney Plus, and other streaming services. Walk down the stairs to your private dock for swimming, fishing, or to take your boat out on the lake for the day. Come back for an evening of s’mores and stories around the campfire. From our first step into the house to the deck to the dock, we just kept saying WOW! Lots of space, lots of light, beautiful views from everywhere. Loved both living rooms, large deck, screened porch and outdoor space. The path to the water was well laid out & well lit at night. We finished our week feeling relaxed and we'll rested.

First impression at the front door is WOW! Big open space, views from everywhere, very large deck, back yard is so beautiful! Walk to lake was well placed and well lit at night. Bedrooms had good separation. Second living space with screened in porch was great! We had 14 including 2 toddlers - plenty of space to play.

Better Days was a wonderful stay, and we'll rent there again next year. If we rent another place next year, it will be because this wasn't available or to get another bedroom (some grandchildren are teens now). The weather was cooler, and unusually cool (June 7-14), so we didn't enjoy the dock & lake as much as we would've liked. We made use of all 6 bedrooms, enjoyed the dock when it was sort of warm, and loved the cornhole and hot tub. We were pleasantly surprised that cornhole bags, firewood and a gift bag with a few amenities were there, even though the listing said they wouldn't be. When the hot tub temp wasn't working correctly, a technician came out quickly to work on it. The place was very clean and fresh.

Wonderful home and location. Was the perfect size for our group, and even when the weather prevented outdoor activities, the comfortable and nicely appointed house gave us plenty to do and the space to do it in. Would rent again.

Wonderful property. Short weekend to celebrate a successful chemo treament with friends who saw us through it. Better Days indeed. While the rain kept us inside, the lovely and comfortable accommodations allowed us all the football watching, table gaming and pool we could manage. Can't wait to come back in better weather.

Our original booking had an electrical issue so Railey quickly resolved the issue by moving and upgrading our rental. This house was in an amazing location to all the attractions but felt extremely private. It was a steep walk to get to the lake but we had a great experience and would highly recommend the property!

We had a great week at the lake. Enjoyed the time together. The house was big enough to be together and apart as needed. Really enjoyed the lake very clean. Cold at first but easy to get used to. Had to call maintenance for a couple of things ie. internet, water on carpet, and dryer. All but dryer were immediately resolved.

This home really is beautiful, very clean, spacious and overall provided us with a wonderful weekend with friends. The dock was ideal for sunbathing, floating on rafts, and making memories. The website says firewood not provided but actually there was a lot of wood near firepit, perhaps left by previous guests. Cozy couches and a HUGE deck that everyone enjoyed. Small but meaning improvements could be made here to make this a truly 5-star experience. There is no keurig (description mentions k-cups but it's a nespresso); the stove and dishwasher need updated/repaired. Trash bags, ample dish soap/hand soap, back ups of toilet paper/paper towel, & cooking spices (more than S&P) not provided in this home. Perhaps this is usual, but not in my experience renting homes/cabins.

We really liked the layout and amenities in this home. There are a couple of appliances that need updating, but all in all, it's a great vacation home. Would definitely stay again.

Lots of clean up needed on this house

The house has a decent layout, a fabulous deck and is located on a beautiful lot. However, The kitchen is very small for a 6 bedroom house. There is black mold growing in the downstairs closet, the hot tub water was green and smelled horrible. The dishwasher bottom rack is broken. Although the master bath has the largest tub that I have ever seen, there wasn't enough water pressure to fill it within a reasonable period of time.The grill was disgustingly dirty.

Since that time, the home has undergone extensive remodeling and refurbishing. Some of those updates include painting of every interior and exterior surface, replacement of virtually all carpeting on the main level with plank wood flooring, professional cleaning of all remaining carpet downstairs, new furniture throughout most of the house, and cleanup of all outside areas. This home also no longer allows for pets and the hot tub is sparkling clean and working perfectly. The house is quite nice and the property is beautiful, but the house could definitely use some improvement. The outside is horribly dirty and the stained carpets are a real turn-off. I realize it’s pet-friendly, but the carpet should really be addressed.

The house upon arrival was not cleaned well at all and there were quite a bit of pet stains throughout the house. With that being said the property was very beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities.

House was great for us, definitely a huge space for a big group. The house is noticeably dog friendly with frequent stains on the carpet but it didn’t seem necessarily dirty. Driveway is STEEP!

Beautiful home, comfy, and roomy. We had 7 adults and 9 children (ages 4 to 15) and it worked out great! Really nice lay out. The deck is amazing, and even with the trees, we still had a nice view of the lake. The hot tub and the fire pit were a HUGE hit! The dock was so much fun, the fish were biting like crazy which made all the fishermen in the group happy! The kids all enjoyed jumping off the dock. The large screened in porch was really nice so when it rained we sat around the table playing cards. Excellent vacation and a good time was had by all. I highly recommend this home. It made our favorite list and we will definitely be renting this home again.

Beautiful view and clean house

Beautiful view and clean house. Would definitely work great for a smaller group, but definitely not for a large group of 15 adults. The dishwasher rack was broken and there were only 14 forks for 15 people. Two bedrooms did not have televisions and that was very disappointing to the two couples.

Creatures comfort weekend getaway 2019

We stayed at creatures comfort January 2019. We had a group of twelve adults and the house was more than accommodating for our sized group. The house is beautiful, spacious and for the most part very well maintained. We had a few small blemishes upon arrival, the carpet had a handful of stains ( which in my opinion is to be expected with a rental property) one of the light fixtures in the kitchen ceiling was falling down and a pantry door was off the track and missing the hardware for us to put it back on the track. There was one diggin shovel and half a shaker of salt for the snow. We were able to request two more snow shovels and salt from the rental office and they provided them in a timely manner. The beds were very comfortable and our entire party agreed that they slept well during our stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to spend the weekend cooking and mixing frozen drinks! The hot tub was well maintained and large enough to fit 6 adults comfortably. The tub in the master bedroom is huge but takes forever to fill up and the water temperature doesn’t stay hot so unfortunately we weren’t able to utilize it. Within our first night we all agreed we want to come back to this house in the summer and explore all that deep creek lake has to offer in the warmer months ! Our only issue the entire weekend was getting out of the driveway. The slope is steep and not recommended for vehicles without 4 wheel drive in the winter time. I would definitely recommend this house if your looking for a couples retreat !

We were a group of 8 adults, on a long weekend getaway, and Creature Comforts was just the ticket! Plenty of rooms, hang-out areas, a great deck, amazing dock and lakefront area, fire pit, and hot tub. The barbecue is not gas, so be sure to bring charcoal. Master suite is amazing... including HUGE ensuite bathroom with HUGE Jacuzzi tub. Highly recommend... love that it was pet friendly, and would definitely rent again!
