This house is amazing we love it!! Very dog friendly and decorations for Christmas were beautiful. The only issue we had was the downstairs bed is uncomfortable and the living room couch was also uncomfortable. But we will be coming back because that doesn’t out weigh the good for us. Loved it!

This house is suitable for a small family; it's cozy, with the best areas being the family room and kitchen. However, the queen beds are not as comfortable for sleeping compared to hotel beds. The exterior of the house needs improvement as it doesn't give the impression of a well-maintained home from the outside. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn't as hot as usual, and we experienced a loss of hot water in the house while using it.

This home was fantastic for our visit! We have two dogs and the place was very dog friendly. They had an extra dog bed and bowls for us to use which was helpful. The layout of the home was also great for the dogs, as we could use the mud room to exit without risk of the dogs getting out. And also there is a barrier at the top of the stairs to keep them in a controlled area while we were out. All amenities were great as well, every time we thought we needed something, they had it. We would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to staying here again!

This house is fantastic in every way for our family of four and our miniature golden doodle dog. We vacationed here in between Christmas and New Years in Dec 2023, and we planned to basically rest and relax and just enjoy the home. WIth smart TVs throughout, a fully equipped kitchen, games to play, books to read and plenty of warmth, this home delivered and was perfect for us. Perhaps the best part though was arriving to the home decorated for the holidays including a lovely Xmas tree and tasteful decorations throughout the entire home. No detail was overlooked. We couldn't have been more pleased and could see ourselves renting this home again in the future.

My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay here. The house was amazing, came supplied with everything we needed, plus more. Location is great, close to everything. Found a bees nest in the deck but was taken care of within hours by the maintenance team. Would stay here again!

This Cabin is Gem!

I would highly recommend this cabin. It was clean, spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. There was a large deck on the front and another large deck on the side of the house (which had recently been redone.). There are two large yard areas, both of which are well shaded. There is a large fire pit with seating, which was really nice. The hot tub was great. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, mugs, and flatware. The location is very convenient, close to the lake (no lake access) and a stone's throw from Rt 219 in McHenry. There are two bedrooms - one on the first level and one on the second level. The beds in these rooms seemed to be full size beds, not queen size, so it was a little tight for two people to sleep in these beds. Also on the second level is a small area with 2 bunk beds. There is no door separating the bunk bed area from the rest of the upstairs. The upstairs bathroom is right off of this bunk bed area, so folks using the bathroom need to go through this bunk bed area to get to the bathroom. So, the bunk bed area is not very private but probably good for small kids. In general, this was a clean, comfortable, convenient cabin. We would stay there again without hesitation.

I could not have been more pleased with Bear Tracks! What a beautiful cabin in a beautiful location! It was so perfectly neat, clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and the kitchen had absolutely everything you could ever want. I loved the dishes so much I'm looking to find where I can buy some like them, as well as the glassware. The hot tub worked perfectly and is a really nice size. The porch has a nice set of wood furniture that I enjoyed and it was fun to watch the deer (including a mom and tiny baby) and other small animals wandering around in the woods. The location is close to lots of the lovely places you'd want to visit for hiking and exploring; the same would be true for winter as well for skiing though I stayed in June. I would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone wishing to stay in Deep Creek.

Perfect Long Weekend

My partner and I plus our goldendoodle pup enjoyed a long weekend at Bear Tracks. The house is off the main road so we could let the dog play in the yard and had enough privacy for us as well. The house is well maintained, everything was super-clean and the kitchen is well stocked to make all of our meals there. The hot tub is immaculate and perfect after a long day of hiking. There were lots of special amenities for the pup, too. Crate, bedding, dog bowls, and blankets. We look forward to staying at this lovely property again.

Such a cute and cozy cabin! Perfect layout to spend time together in a winter wonderland. My friends and our dogs had the best time! We were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. They had every pot, pan, and dish you’d need. The only downside was we couldn’t get the Hot tub to go above 73 degrees so definitely ask about that before you go.

It was our first time visiting the area and would love to see it in summer. Our family had an awesome 3 1/2 hour hike in the mountains. The cottage had everything we needed and made things convenient and easy. It was very clean on the inside. It appeared to have many upgrades, as well. The hot tub was clean but small. The exterior looks a bit "rough" and the back steps are rotting. Judging from the upgrades inside, we're guessing maybe the work isn't finished, yet? Either way, you can't judge a book by its cover on this one.

I cannot say enough great things about this cozy cabin! It was the perfect spot for a weekend away, and had everything we needed and then some! The kitchen was well stocked, the living area was comfortable with pillows and blankets, and the hot tub was perfect for the cold temps! Will definitely be returning!

I cannot say enough great things about this cabin! This cabin was so cozy, had everything we needed and then some, and was the perfect location for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms/living areas were comfortable with a ton of pillows and blankets, and the hot tub was an excellent added bonus! Will definitely be returning!

This cabin is amazing! Very cozy with every possible amenity provided. Many thoughtful touches have been added to the cabin to meet a variety of needs. I especially appreciated the variety of tools, games, and appliances were provided. The cabin was very clean and well decorated. A perfect place to stay!

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved every minute. The house is set back from the main road and other houses, so it’s nice and private. The kitchen is very well stocked (better than our own, honestly) with dishes and cookware, which made for easy cooking. From lounging on the comfy couches to stargazing in the hot tub, we had a great time!

It was great place to stay. Had a lot fun exploring all the parks close by central located to everything. At end of day enjoyed an evening in the hot tub. Also very dog friendly. Our pups enjoyed hanging out on the deck with us and exploring the yard which was a great size. Did not get chance to use the fire pit but did like the lights at night lighting up the yard. Would go back again

Lovely house does not sleep 7 comfortably

It’s a great house in a great location but the sleep chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. This place really only sleeps 7 if people can sleep on the couches or you bring air mattresses.

Actually I would like to give a Very Good Rating. The cabin was very nice and cozy and extremely dog friendly. I would give it an excellent if one thing was different. It grossed us out that the upstairs bathroom had carpet in it. Thank goodness only my husband and I and our two dogs stayed in this cabin during this trip. I would have hated to put someone upstairs with that bathroom. It is just the floor that grossed us out. Other than that the cabin was great!!!

We arrived to a very clean cabin and everything was ready for our stay. Between the time of booking and our stay, the house was transferred from one owner to Railey. The transfer process was smooth and Railey honored the agreements I had made with the previous owner.
