DOG BREED LIMITATIONS: Even in dog-friendly homes, it’s prohibited to bring any dog with a history or instance of aggressive or reactive tendencies. We welcome any dog which you know to be well-socialized, trained, and friendly in any situation involving others, both human and canine, as there may be nearby dogs at neighboring properties. However, due to restrictions in place by homeowner insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned from all rentals, regardless of the training and temperament of the individual dog. We were there on a short 2-night trip with a group of 12 for a wedding. Everyone had their own bed and the bedrooms were nice and spacious enough for what we needed. The house had all the accommodations and games we needed and was very clean. It was a very enjoyable stay!

Beautiful home with lots of space. We went with our entire family(14) and had a great time. The separate living quarters above the garage was ideal for the part of our family that had a baby so the baby had a quiet place to sleep.

As advertised, clean well equipped house. A few minutes walk to community dock and a few minutes ride to state park beach.

We had a fabulous time. The cleaning crew did a great job and we found everything clean and ready for us. On Thursday night the pipe under the kitchen sink sprung a leak and the service crew was very responsive and arrived within 30 minutes, diagnosed and made the repair. There are 2 items that need to updated on the website description. 1-1 full sized refrigerator and 2 small refrigerators are listed. There are actually 2 full sized refrigerators. 2-I called and asked how we could access the dock and slip. I was told it was a community dock and we could drive and park in a community area for access. This is not accurate. A better description for the website would be —-Dock Slip 4-C is accessible down a 100 yard wooded path. Thank you for a fabulous vacation.

Overall we had a nice trip, but this house could use some improvements and overall cleanliness/organization attention. The beds were more comfortable than expected and we enjoyed the hot tub, and above garage space was perfect for the childless couple in our group while the rest of the family sowed chaos in the main house.

Overall we give this house a solid 2 out of 5 stars. We had some challenges which resulted in the 2 star rating:-I would not consider this house Lake Front as advertised. There is a hike required from the back of the house to the waterfront. The hike consists of significant drop in elevation and the waterfront is not developed. You have to wade through mud/muck/brush to launch a kayak/paddleboard/raft. The property sits at the end of a narrow cove inaccessible by boat to the lake due to a low bridge. See the video link for the details regarding the walk from the house to the waterfront. This house is Lake Area. -Internet drops out continuously. There is no way to work remote here or stream movies on rainy days. Verizon service was roaming, two bars.-Temps were in the 60s-70s during our stay and the AC could not keep up. We wound up opening the windows and just dealing with the humidity. -Ceiling Fan in LR does not operate via a switch or remote. We contacted maintenance during our stay and they were unable to assist. -Box fan found in a bedroom had a broken blade and was unusable. -No instructions on how to operate the speakers in the LR and outside.-Frying pans were unusable. They had food baked onto them and could not be cleaned. Maintenance had to bring us new frying pans. It was disappointing to wake up and not be able to cook the family breakfast. -Closets had minimal hangars that appeared to be left behind from previous guests. There also were blankets, pillows, and other items haphazardly thrown in the closets. -Dryer takes 2-3 cycles to dry a small load of clothes.-Parking area when it rains holds inches of water with mud and becomes unusable. -There was a smoke alarm hanging by the wires in the loft bedroom. We also experienced a malfunctioning activation of the smoke alarm system in the house. Maintenance was contacted and they could not figure out why it activated. -The map provided for the community dock access was a joke. It had road directions to the parking but no instructions beyond that. The trail is around the corner from the parking and you have to search it out. See video link above for how to access. It too is a hike with elevation change. Not conducive to carrying a kayak/paddleboard/rafts to access. -The HOA dog rules with breed restrictions are ridiculous. Every dog owner knows it's not the breed, it's the owner. Any educated person can google the dog bite statistics and high bites are from breeds allowed. #RottieMom

Really enjoyed our trip, and this cozy secluded home was perfect for us. The hot tub was nice, there was plenty of hiking and walking right out the back door, and we did quite a bit of paddle boarding and kayaking from the water front. While it was a bit challenging to carry both down and up the hike from the house (it’s a bit of a long hill), the quiet, no-wake cove was perfect for kayaking with kids. There wasn’t much of a beach area at this home, but we were able to hike the mile along the water to the lifeguard-staffed state park beach. Very nice and we’ll book again if we can get a large enough group together again!

This property is in need of serious updating. While we appreciated being able to bring our pet along, the property was below acceptable condition. Kitchen wasn’t well stocked. The access to the lake was challenging since no real path was created through the woods. For anyone with difficulty walking, take note, it’s a hike. The furniture, rugs and carpet are in poor condition and smell. Showers all have mold. Basement smells of mildew, so the basement bedrooms are unusable. Very buggy surrounding the house. Beware: Railey provides a small bottle of soap and two rolls of toilet paper. Property is very much misrepresented and renters should be aware before experiencing disappointment.

The house was set up well for our needs and the direct lake access was great at we could swim from the dock. A few things could make the house a 5 star: an AC unit in the loft as it was very hot, a dehumidifier in the basement as it always felt damp and the carpet smelled moldy, a deep cleaning and to remove old junk from closest which made them unusable.

The location and set up of the beds/rooms is amazing but his house is in need of a deep clean.

A lovely, secluded house for our multigenerational family of 11. Overall, the house could definitely stand some updating. HVAC is very inconsistent from bottom to top floors. Path to the lake/dock was longer than we anticipated and challenging for seniors. Overall, we really enjoyed this home....perfect location, very private, feels like sitting in the treetops from the expansive deck. Comfortable indoor space for everyone. We had a need to call with a question and a concern about a poop-covered dock the first day and it was taken care of within an hour. Thanks! We would consider returning!

The place was nice. Needs some things updated. Wouldn't want in the winter due to the steep driveway. We had an issue the entire time with the TV's. It appeared that the cable was disconnected, but the boxes and remotes all remained. We finally figured everything out with a couple of days left.

We had 8 kayaks. We were able to leave them near the dock and not worry about anyone taking them. We loved the view from the deck. we loved that we could include the dog in this vacation. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub.

Wedded Bliss at Abbott's Bliss

The house is just as advertised. We've rented for years from Railey and this is the most secluded property we've ever had.. literally the end of the road and plenty of trees around. We were 9 adults, two toddlers, and a dog, and we had plenty of space for all of us with even a spare bedroom. We actually held a very small wedding on the property and it was a lovely venue. We had everything we needed, kitchen and grill utensils, sheets, blankets, towels, and firewood for the firepit, which we enjoyed every night. All in all, a wonderful weekend in a great house, in a secluded cove, and we would definitely rent again.

Abbott's Bliss is an amazing house. We loved the fire pit and the large deck. The pool table was good to have although it is very work and the bumpers were bad. We also enjoyed the hot tub but only half the jets were working. Maintanice came to look at it but left without telling us anything and did not fix it. It was a walk to the pier.

Due to the home not being what was advertised, I was not satisfied. I have been coming to Deep Creek every year for the past four years and this is the first time that the home was not exactly what was advertised.

We had the opportunity to stay at Abbot’s Bliss for a weekend in June during the Gran Fondo bike ride. The house was great for a group. The bedrooms were a good size with a suite above the garage. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The kitchen was great for cooking meals for our group with plenty of seating. We needed a service call to correct the air conditioning, as it was hot this weekend. The technician came quickly and resolved the problem while we were at dinner.
