We had a lovely stay at the Peaceful Pines. We were limited to the property selections we could choose from because we had my elderly father with us, who has limited mobility and is on a rollator, thus we needed a home with minimal stairs and a bedroom/suitable bathroom on the first floor. This property looked beautiful and met that criteria so we moved forward with it, and it worked out great for our family. Once at the property, my dad was able to navigate the few stairs well in and out of the home. The main-floor interior / master bedroom/bathroom also proved to be very spacious and easy for him to navigate. A few other helpful items to note - 1) We visited Deep Creek in mid-October timeframe. Prior to our visit, we read several reviews noting that the street leading up to the home is not walkable. While very hilly, it was absolutely walkable and in fact very peaceful and pleasant. My sister, who is a runner, still ran the streets throughout the Pinnacle neighborhood every morning. 2) It is important to note, at least during the time of year we visited, that there are herds of deer everywhere. They were surprisingly friendly, but drivers should use caution when entering into the neighborhood area. 3) There was toilet paper/soap in the bathrooms when we arrived - but you do need to bring backups. 4)The plates/bowls in the home are not microwavable. While there was some glassware, there was not any type of disposable paper plates. There was a container of sugar, but no salt, pepper or any other condiments. Depending on how much you are cooking/reheating - it may be wise to pack some of these items. 5) Be careful opening and closing the curtains on the bottom floors -the rods are bit unsteady and come apart easily. 6) A few centipede-like bugs found in the downstairs bedroom - I don't believe in anyway this is a cleanliness issue -but likely due to the property location (lots of trees) as well as the Fall season. Just be aware though- because they are ugly. Overall, The home was beautiful and served our family well. We would absolutely recommend it/stay again at this same location.

My friends and I loved this house! It was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. A few minor issues: fridge was leaking water, water dispenser in the fridge came out extremely slow, lights in the hot tub wouldn't turn on, and the electric fireplace in the basement was malfunctioning and wouldn't turn on. Other than that, everything was great and we had a lovely experience. There was lots of privacy, and the area is beautiful. Be mindful that this house does not come with private lake access. We could access a dock area for free, and a public beach with swimming for $5 per person.

We all enjoyed our stay in this home. The home had everything we needed to cook and enjoy ourselves. We loved the fire pit. The hot tub was in need of a little fine-tuning. It smelled overwhelmingly of chlorine, and we could not get anything but the Jets to work, so no fun lights, just basic jets. We loved using the fire pit and had several outdoor fires.We were disappointed that we had no lake access, unless you went to the state park. That required a car. We were also disappointed that the neighborhood was quite hilly and not that easy to walk.A couple of things with cleanliness, the kitchen utensils needed a thorough cleaning, and the stove top was grease spattered. Although the pots and pans were all fairly new, the best pan needed a thorough scrubbing with an SOS pad.The icemaker seemed to thaw out and refreeze, causing all the ice to stick together. We bought ice instead. There was also a dehumidifier in the basement that needed daily emptying. There was a hose draining it to the drain in the room, but the bucket was still filling up, which caused the dehumidifier to turn off spontaneously. It would’ve been helpful if a message had been left in the kitchen about it.The bear proof trashcan holders were very difficult to open because the doors had become misaligned, and you had to fight with the latches to close them properly.I have to say that the welcome bag was underwhelming.I’ve been doing this for years, and I’ve never seen so few items in a welcome bag.

I loved the rental. Everything was in order. A few housekeeping issues were sent to you separately.Hilly neighborhood, was not easy to walk for older folks. No direct lake access. Great area for shopping and sites. Must have car.

House was great, however was disappointed with railey vacations not allowing a check out when no back to back reservations.....when there was even snow storm due.

Peaceful Pines was a wonderful place to vacation. Beautiful inside and out. Lots of wildlife (deer, woodchucks, chipmunks, foxes and more deer!) to enjoy. Located in a lovely community with state parks and other facilities nearby. Would highly recommend.

We have been coming to the Deep Creek Lake area for 20 years and Peaceful Pines is one of the nicest homes we've stayed in. The layout of the home was wonderful. Easy access for loading and unloading. Cannot think of anything negative about the home. It was perfect for our group.

Great house and great location! Close to lake and deep creek state park and only about 10 minutes away from Wisp Resort. Very clean, beautiful, spacious, and cozy - sweet home away from home . Great for family vacation! Thank you so much! We’ll definitely come back!

The house is lovely. It is well stocked with lot of amenities for guest (lots of kitchen appliances, blankets, toys for kids and more). The house was clean and well maintained. We came in the fall, and we could even see glimpses of the lake with no leaves on the trees. Our only complaint was the bed in the downstairs bedroom with ensuite was uncomfortable. That said, we would rent again! We checked in online and were able to access the house easily. Railey Vacations is very communicative throughout the process, and it was easy to do everything online. We had no issues or complaints to Railey, so we are unable to rate any complaint services they provide.

The home was well maintained and clean. It accommodated 5 adults and 4 children very comfortably. We enjoyed the wood fire pit almost every night!
