All though we had a few issues with cleanliness and some damage to the house when we arrived the overall experience was nice and love deep creek lake.

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas which helped create a holiday feeling. The kitchen was beautiful and was much better than the picture showed. There was plenty of firewood available for a beautiful fire every day. House is spacious and the wood within the home is well maintained. Although our stay was wonderful, the furniture in both living areas could use updated. There were some broken pieces that were not functional.

We will definately rent again. What a fantastic location, close to everything at Deep Creek Lake. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility with our stay at Log Heaven. We enjoyed all the updates and amenities especially the brand-new dishwasher and microwave are just a few of the kitchen updates to mention. Anything that you would want and expect is here at Log Heaven. We enjoyed the awesome fireplace in the Great Room as well as the outdoor firepit with plenty of available wood to burn. We loved and experienced the spacious and newly remodeled downstairs with big screen, lounging area, and pool table. We have already made arrangements to return!

Nice place to stay, but some things to note

Overall we were pleased with the house and the location of the rental, nice layout, good property, generally a comfortable place. We were surprised and disappointed that some of the items listed in previous reviews from about a month ago had not been addressed. Dishwasher, oven, microwave and baseboard heater all still needed attention. Appreciated Railey's getting out same day with a replacement microwave, although there was nothing to do about the oven or dishwasher. Due to the warm temps we didn't notice the baseboards not working until the day before we left, so we didn't ask this be addressed. Everything, plus some minor issues, were documented and turned in with the keys so hopefully can be addressed for future renters. A few comments for future renters. Well stocked kitchen, includes drip coffee and Kuerig. Appreciated the welcome bag from Railey's with 1st night supplies (TP, soap, etc). Beds were relatively comfortable (Railey's fixed the one with the big divot in the basement). Tons of wood for fires, great fire place and fire pit, wood was tough to lite, so bring fire starters. Pool table was in decent shape, but air hockey table was missing and replaced with a broken foosball table. No closets and limited dresser space, not a huge deal, but no place to hang ski gear / jackets.

We came for a long weekend and the house was great! There were 10 of us on this trip and everyone had room. The rooms were nice and so was the living room/downstairs area. The kitchen had lots of appliances/pots/pans/etc. The only thing we noticed was that the water pressure was extremely low throughout the entire house. We made Railey aware and they offered to bring a tech out and look at it, but we weren’t super concerned, we more so wanted them to be aware for future renters. Also we were made aware prior to our stay that the dishwasher was not working at the time. Besides those two things our stay was great and everyone loved the house!

Would Rent Again

Some major things were not working in the Kitchen like the dishwasher, the microwave and the oven would not get to temp or hold temp. Also three baseboard heater thermostats were broken. However, Railey Vacations was very prompt on either giving us temporary rental replacement for our stay like a small microwave on the counter that worked great to a many space heaters (more then we needed just in case) and they did at least get to replace one major baseboard heater as it was in the negative degrees upon arrival. Keep in mind that this house has been booked before me and was being booked after me, so this is a major rented house, so things will happen. This is why I always rent with Railey Vacations when in DCL because their customer service is amazing and how prompt they are to get things fixed or give a comparable replacement for your stay amazes me, even if they are short staffed and during a holiday weekend. I would say though I would check out the king bed in the basement as it may need to be replaced it has a huge crater in it and my poor parents could not sleep in the same bed together and the 1st floor queen bed is starting to do the same, all the other beds were very comfortable though. All & all our families had a wonderful Christmas at this house. This house is the perfect "Farmhouse Christmas Style" and the house was even decorated for Christmas, and holidays which was a lovely surprise and a great added touch! We got to enjoy the fireplace, the game room and the hot tub. I highly recommend this house for all ages.

Log Heaven was a wonderful escape for a few days. The home is very nicely appointed and cozy. It is not far from WISP resort for skiing and close to the lake. The home has all the amenities you would need. We would definitely rent this home again.

Our group had a great time. There beds were comfortable. Kitchen amenities were great, had nearly everything we looked for when cooking meals. The cabin does not have AC which we overlooked in the description. Overall, great cabin, great location.

The home was great, many details with everything we needed. First day we noticed no gas on the grill but we called Railey and they sent one to us next day. All bedroom were nice and comfortable. Beautiful fireplace and wood to use as much as you want.

The house was perfect! We stayed here to celebrate my moms retirement and really enjoyed our stay. Then downstairs game room was perfect for the kids and kept them busy. We had plenty of room for multiple families. It was quiet and private with a huge deck, fire pit, and even a hot tub. I’d highly recommend and we’ll definitely come back.

Appropriately named Log Heaven - My wife and I truly enjoyed our vacation getaway at Log Heaven. Great location, close to everything yet nestled in a beautiful wooded setting. We appreciated the recent updates which included granite counter tops, hot tub, newly resurfaced pool table, completely remodeled game room, new game room furniture, and upgraded firepit area. The deck was just painted as well. Some of the online pictures do not reflect all of these updates. We cannot wait to return. You will not be disappointed!!!

Decent home, lacking some amenities

Good location, not far from 219 but still fairly quiet. Be warned that there is no easy lake access if you rent this home within walking distance, it is not listed as such but do not think that if you walk for a mile or less you'll be able to get to the lake at a public access point. Also the house is very bare bones, none of the nice little touches you'll sometimes find at other homes.

Please know the owner has made many recent updates to the home, including: new covered patio, granite countertops, all new cabinet hardware, new 75" TV + additional touches to the basement, refurbished pool table, reconfiguration of the master king bedroom, new outdoor swing, and better access points for high speed internet. On the list for the near future are new grill, upgraded firepit, refinishing the deck and back patio, as well as updated firepit furniture. We hope this is encouraging enough to give you confidence in renting Log Heaven again in the future. As indicated by the "Lake Area" access type affiliated with this property online, the home does not have direct lake access but the owner did recently add a CARC membership which allows for pool and fitness center access nearby. Log Heaven is a beautiful large home! Some items are outdated, but not a bad home to have a get away from the norm.

For the money we spent on this rental I expected a lot more. I deafly would do some more research before I booked again.

I may rent it if I came in winter. My biggest problem for a summer stay was lack of A/C. The home besides this was comfortable, centrally located and surrounded by large shady trees. It was also spacious.

We had 4 couples stay here for my 40th birthday and i couldn't have asked for a better birthday. It fit our group perfectly and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and very warm and welcoming. I would definitely rent this house again. Plan on coming back and making this an annual trip every year.

Great cabin in the woods

Great cabin in the woods for family of 9! The adults enjoyed the cozy fireplace while the kids enjoyed the many activities in the basement. This house was close enough to shopping, the ski resort, many state parks and good food but also far enough away to make you feel like you rented a cabin in the woods. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in August and had a blast! Log Heaven was a spacious house for only 4 bedrooms and was exactly what we needed for our family. The location makes you feel tucked into nature, yet you are minutes from everything at the lake. We really enjoyed the big kitchen and spacious decks outside. House was extremely clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Booking and check-in was a breeze and the call center staff were so helpful to find us this house. Railey has the best houses and are always a pleasure to rent from!
