The photos do not do this house justice at all. Bucks Run was so much more beautiful and cozy in person than the photos make it appear. If you're looking for a "cabin in the woods" type vacation - this home is it! Bucks Run is a beautiful property and provides privacy, peace and quiet. You absolutely need all wheel drive/4 wheel drive type of vehicle for the snowy winter months. We rented when it was snowing the entire weekend and the back roads and driveway are a bit extreme and definitely requires a proper vehicle. The beds were cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed except a blender, the hot tub was great, and the driveway was perfect to go sledding down. The homeowners have bundles of firewood available for purchase via cash box or venmo on the honor system which was extremely convenient while we were staying there during the snowy weekend. It does take about 20 minutes to get to the main supermarket and Walmart - so it's a bit of a hike if you need to go to the store for anything. Our only disappointment was that the shower curtains were full of mildew and need replacing. We would definitely consider renting this house again in the future for our family's annual winter getaway.

A perfect place to get away from the daily grind ! I was surprised at how close to Swallow Falls we were! The only thing out of our control was the weather which it rained 3 days! That was more time spent unwinding! Beautiful house and location, enough space to spread out!

Cabin location is secluded and very private. Cabin sits on 5 acres, approximately 1.5 acres cleared (plenty of room to enjoy outside activities) and remaining acreage are open woods (where we watched deer and turkey walk thru daily.) Located just minutes to Swallow Fall State Park and Harrington Manor State Park. Still close enough (15 to 20 minutes) to all attractions Deep Creek offers. Would highly recommend!

We have been to Deep creek about 4 times now and have stayed in different geographic areas and different houses each time. Bucks Run was by far the best house we have had the pleasure of renting. It is secluded and quiet, it is beautifully constructed and the layout/ floor plan is very nice. The furnishings and beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. There was plenty of outdoor area for the dogs too. The location of Bucks Run was perfect for us - it was located right next door to Swallow Falls and other trails. Yes it is a bit of a drive to get food or supplies but only about 20 minutes. I would definitely stay at this house again. You can tell the owners love this house the the property- it felt like a home.

Bucks Run is perfect! The house is tucked back in the woods, lots of land for kids to play and doggies to run. House was perfect! It was clean, everything in good shape and many supplies that you would need. My favorite part was the porch with the swing. The only thing I suggest is having some bright lights on the front porch so you can sit out at night. If there were lights, we couldn't find the switch. We would definitely come back to Bucks Run.

Loved the house and the layout. It was very accommodating, from the wraparound porches, to the extra room with the rocking chairs , to the dining room with the big long table, to the roomy bedrooms and bathrooms, to the comfortable living room. We enjoyed using the fire pit, the hot tub, and playing games in the spacious yard, and also walking the trails in the woods behind the house. Ww we’re so pleased with everything!

Beautiful secluded home less than a mile from Swallow falls state park with great hiking and waterfall views. 10 minute drive to deep creek lake. The home has a great layout for families and friends to stay together. Hot tub, pool table, wifi, wood burning fireplace, clean. Will definitely be back!

We were in love with the cabin the moment we stepped in and it just got better the longer we stayed. The cabin was very clean. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with all the gadgets we could need, and the dinning room table was gorgeous! We made great use of the fireplace and the hot tub was such a lovely indulgence! We can’t wait to come back next year!!

We loved our stay at Bucks Run. This home had everything we were looking for and met our expectations. Prospective renters, be aware of the owner's advertisement of "extreme driveway" especially in the winter months when snow and ice are present and come prepared. The only suggestion I have is that the property management and maintenance do a better job of clearing ice and snow from the steps and walkway to the front of the house and the porch leading to the hot tub. These areas were quite treacherous during our stay and the walkway is not well lit to notice ice in the dark. Other than that, the house was very well maintained. We plan to return in 2023.

Very nice home that had everything we needed for our family winter stay. Loved the deer and wildlife visits in the backyard everyday! Driveway is accurately described as “extreme” so be prepared. Only suggestion is for maintenance to do a better job of clearing snow and ice from front steps and back porch access to hot tub as well as remove ice from hot tub cover. Ice was pretty thick and difficult to navigate especially since we arrived at dark. We will book this home again!
