Relaxing Retreat

We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Blue Anchor a few times with friends. Every stay has been relaxing and enjoyable. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool and the lake. They also loved watching movies in the movie theatre. The adults enjoyed sitting by the fire and on the back patio.

Our stay at Blue Anchor at Deep Creek Lake was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the luxurious touches and amenities that made our multi-family getaway so comfortable and special. The indoor swimming pool was a favorite for both kids and adults, offering hours of fun regardless of the weather. The private movie theatre was like having our own cinema—perfect for winding down after a day on the lake (or during a rainy afternoon). And the views from the 4th floor master suite? Simply breathtaking—sunsets over the water from the private balcony couldn't be better.The spa-like bathrooms and high-end furnishings throughout the home are also much better than we've experienced at other homes. Nearly everything felt brand new! We also loved how well-appointed the kitchen was—double refrigerators made it incredibly easy to manage meals and drinks for our large group. Best feature was the location- couldn’t be better. We've stayed at lake front rentals with lots of wake and noise but this house is nestled on a quiet cove, it felt peaceful and private. Our kids loved swimming and fishing off the dock, and we all enjoyed walking to the Nature Center and the beach at Deep Creek Lake State Park, which was literally across the bridge. We’ve rented many homes over the years, but Blue Anchor is our absolute favorite. We plan to return next summer. Highly, highly recommend!

Great stay in Deep Creek! Kitchen and the house are fully stocked and exceeded all our expectations. The kids loved the downstairs indoor pool and theatre room and the adults enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Plenty of space for everyone and the location was fantastic. We really enjoyed that we were on the lake and could easily walk to the Deep creek nature center. Overall, great place to stay at Deep Creek.

We've stayed at Blue Anchor multiple times with friends and their families. The house is big enough for everybody, and the location is great - right on the lake, with beautiful views and easy walking access to the beach and nature reserve. The adults enjoyed talking around the fire near the lake and relaxing in the hot tub, while the kids loved the indoor swimming pool and the movie theater.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Blue Anchor. The house is enormous with a fantastic view of the State Park. Our kids really enjoyed the swimming pool and spent way too much time in the Movie Theater!! The house is newly renovated and it shows. Everything is pristine and incredibly high end. It was worth every penny!

Overall was very happy with propertyKitchen was fully stocked Bedroooms and sleeping arrangements were excellent with exception of downstairs bedroom (extremely cold…..windows were not sealed and had towels covering corners)Would have appreciated flexibility with leaving. 3 of the adults came down with stomach flu and wasn’t allowed an extra hour for rest of adults to take over.

The main level of the house was uninhabitable due to lack of insulation. The main level living room was left untouched because it was too cold, even with the fireplace running. The main level primary suite was so cold we purchased a space heater- even then, it was too cold. We called twice for maintenance and someone came by once to check, but nothing changed.The rest of the house was great and as pictured. We probably would've given 5 stars if we visited in warm weather, but unfortunately our ski trip was stymied by the frigid first floor.
