Located off of Lake Forest Dr and Route 219, the home is tucked back under the trees, sitting lakefront, and providing the best of both worlds no matter the season. When walking into the home you are first welcomed by detailed wood finishings and rustic decor. Begin your morning with a hot cup of coffee out on the back deck while soaking in the foliage and the fresh morning breeze, or take the family out for a brisk morning walk along the secluded gravel road. During the summer months kick off your day out on the lake in the boat or exploring the many activities DCL has to offer including mini golf, go karting, and tasty restaurants. On cool winter days pack up the family and hit the slopes over at the four season Wisp Resort. And that’s not all! Stay inside and cozy up around the wood burning fireplace while enjoying movies with the family. Or relax those muscles after a long day out in the warm bubbles of the hot tub. This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

For the most part the house was nice. The pictures make the outside gathering areas look a lot bigger than they actually are. The inside was very comfortable. Nice rooms. The outside needs some sprucing up! It needs a good cleaning and landscape clean up. All and all, we liked the house, but were disappointed in the cleaning we had to do when we first got there.

Lovely home but not senior citizen friendly. Low toilets, sink and no grab bars on main floor bathroom. The path to the dock and fire pit is pretty steep, even for the physically fit. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. (If you plan to cook bring foil and plastic wrap and all seasonings. The only seasoning was a small salt and pepper shaker.) BBQ utensils and available and the propane grill was nice. Hot Tub was a nice amenity since we had a cool, rainy week.

Accurate to the listing online. Great open space and secluded neighborhood. 15 minutes from the grocery store. The walk to the lake is pleasant but at a bit of a steady incline, so our older family members took their time. We had cleaning/maintenance issues we filed and they came to the house within one hour to fix everything. Would have been nice to not have had issues but we appreciated the rapid response time.

This is a nice house for a family or friends. The location is off grid, but easy access to the main road for venturing out. Also, close to the Walmart.

The house was very cozy. Nicely decorated. Kitchen was well stocked. While it can sleep 15 people the living space does not accommodate than many people comfortably without use of the deck. Beds were comfortable. Dock and fire pit area were nice and the fire pit has nice view of the water.

A Good Week at Bearendipity!

Our 3-generation family of 9 enjoyed our week at Bearendipity despite the unpredictable weather and frequent rain. We did not manage to make use of the fire-pit as we had planned, but we were able to use the gas grill on the deck and the well-stocked kitchen. The house has a somewhat unconventional layout but there was plenty of room for people to spread out and have their own space or congregate as needed. Given the uncertainty of the weather, the access to the CARC was a valuable addition, and the hot tub was popular, as always. There is a lovely view of the lake through the trees. We would rent this house again, but would not recommend it for a family with small children due to an open stairway.
