Wake up feeling refreshed, start a hot cup of coffee and enjoy peaceful, wrap around views of the lake year-round, with private lake access and dock slip where you can soak in the serenity of the lake from the water’s edge. Whether you chose to spend the day sailing the lake, or out shredding the slopes; there is plenty here do to at Deep Creek no matter the season! After a busy day of exploring head back to the cottage for an evening full of relaxation. Ease those muscles in the warm bubbles of the hot tub or challenge the family to a friendly game of basketball. On cool evenings take full advantage of the indoor shuffleboard table or start a fire in the wood fireplace for a cozy family movie night. Loved the area, the house was very accommodating except I didn't like the dining room table up the steps. I am disabled. They could have a higher table and chairs behind the couch instead of for kids.

As a family of four, which includes 2 young adults, we enjoyed our stay. Perfect size and space for us to share meals, play cards, soak up the sun, and take in the lake view. Close to activities at the State Park, and McHenry, while far enough for peace and nature. Hope to be back.

The best part of this house was the back porch and the view of the lake! It was peaceful and beautiful. Overall the house was adequate for our needs and fairly clean. The home was eclectic and had a throw back to the 70's. My adult kids were thrilled. The kitchen was fine for the cooking that we decided to do, but I think that some of the cookware and silverware could be updated as they are fairly worn. However there was a variety of stocked items in the kitchen to use. The twin beds had, I think, a plastic mattress and were very hot. The AC was not as strong in that room so sleeping was a bit hot. Also the bedding in this room was a bit stained. The other rooms seemed fine. I think that ceiling fans would be helpful. I did enjoy the decorative accents in each room. There was a great supply of books, movies and games. The TV is not a smart TV so television channels were very limited. Railey was very responsive when we needed some service. The couch was roomy but dirty.

Firefly Cottage is a cute, eclectic house. The furniture and kitchen cookware and silverware could use updating. The back porch view is second to none. Access to the lake was so close that you could be in the water in 2 minutes. We loved the location and the water views.

Nice little cottage near the end of the road so there's not much traffic. Very quiet and peaceful except for Friday night when a bar across the cove blasted music until 9:30 PM. To each his own I guess.

My daughters and I had a small Mother's Day trip. The firefly cottage was exactly what we needed. The views were breathtaking! The hot tub was clean and relaxing. we have no complaints and plan to make this a yearly trip with this rental company.

Everything was good the house was very cleaned we loved the view, the only thing was disappointing there was no gas for the grill, but we enjoyed the time thanks from Carmen and family
