Great House for Small Family

We've stayed here the past two summers, and the house is great for a small family. Access to the water for swimming is perfect for small children. There's a small "beach" area for kids to play, and they can easily get in the water from there. The water is pretty shallow in that area, too. There was a lot of boat traffic further out in the lake, but the area immediately around the house is well protected. The area is quiet too, which is great for little kids. The house was clean inside and as others have mentioned, the kitchen was well-stocked with small appliances and a ton of serviing dishes and utensils. We did have one small issue: we lost water for a few hours one of the days we were there. We called the maintenance number and someone answered right away. He said they would send someone out, but I have no idea if someone actually came. I received no communication after the initial call I made. Ultimately the water came back, and we had no other issues for the remainder of our stay.We really like the house and water access. If you are looking for a clean home and a place where your children can play easily and safely in the water, this is it.

The house was quaint but well-appointed. Fully stocked with kitchen items, a dishwasher and full size refrigerator despite the small footprint of the kitchen.

Overall good rental. Great location and view. Inside of the house is great! Really nicely decorated, nice furniture. Very cute. Outside needs work. Yard is overgrown and gardens were very weedy and just needs basic cleaning up and regular maintenance. Deck furniture is just folding camping chairs so comfy ones would be a great addition.

Lovely little lake cottage. Really nicely redone inside. Excellent location on the lake in a quieter section but easily accessible to McHenry and shopping either via boat or car. Also on a quiet lane so no issues with neighbors or traffic. A couple of issues to note. There is construction going on next door on a new build. Some days it started very early, like 6 am. We were less than enthused those days. Also, some suggestions for the outside are more regular maintenance (gardens are overgrown and very weedy, deck and deck furniture were dirty, and also actual deck furniture would be nice compared to the folding chairs). Lastly, the internet is not good. It advertises as 4 smart TVs but you can't get more than one to stream at a time.

Great house and location! Perfect setting, very clean, and had so many amenities. The hot tub was clean, gas grill was clean, dock was so nice. Only about 15 minutes to town and hiking spots. We loved the wildlife including two very friendly mallard ducks. Highly recommend and we would definitely consider staying here again. I have zero complaints. Loved it!

This is a great rental lake house. It was the perfect size and a quiet location. Lakefront with dock. The house and hot tub were very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. Beds and sofa were very comfortable. Easy 15 minute drive to town. The description and pictures are very accurate. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again.

This house was the perfect size. Not massive and overbearing, not confined like a hotel room. The bedroom was comfortable and inviting. No worries about the dock, its pretty flat yard. No trekking up and down steps. This is perfect for a small single family, or couple.

House was great and renovated. The shower was broken and we did not have water the first night, but it was eventually fixed. The hot tub was also not working with sign “do not use.”

We enjoyed our time at Lakeview Oasis. There is a beach area where we spent time every day. It made for easy access for swimming or launching a kayak if needed. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was private and quiet with friendly neighbors. The house is not on the main part of the lake but there is still a decent amount of boat activity. It would be easy to access if you bring/rent a boat.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lakeview Oasis! The home itself is nicely updated and was spacious for its size. We absolutely loved the views of the lake and spent every morning on the dock drinking coffee. The home is on a quiet street and about 15 minutes from town. The kitchen is nicely stocked and it’s clear that the owners have put a lot of time and effort into making the home feel inviting for guests. We would definitely stay again and hope to be back in the future!

Everything about the vacation was great and we certainly will come back again, however, the water in the hot tub was not sanitary, and caused a visit to urgent care for some antibiotics.

We do clean our regularly before and after each rental and then throughout a guests stay we do send our techs out daily/ every other day to maintain the cleanliness of the hot tub. Relatively new appliances were so nice to have. Small kitchen, but it was everything we needed for vacation. We will return to this house!

Brand new home with a well-stocked kitchen

We had a great time on our trip. The home is obviously newly renovated and looks great. The (only) 1 bathroom is a bit of a bummer, but otherwise we loved the well appointed kitchen and multiple tv's, all of which have Roku's, which is a nice touch. And a Wii-U too? Wow! Think the highlight is easily the hot tub, which we spent many hours soaking in. There is a giant home going up next door and the workers were loud at times, though I imagine once construction is complete it will be much better. Otherwise, we were a a little upset to see that there was no deck furniture (too early in the season?) and that the storage shed was locked and inaccessible to use -- we could see a kayak in there, which would have been nice to have access to!

The Lakeview Oasis was fantastic! Clean, brand new, so nicely decorated, and with a great outdoor setup! Even in the 20 degree weather we could still enjoy time outside around the fire and in the hot tub! The lake view was beautiful and peaceful - such a nice getaway!
