Beautiful cabin for a short family getaway! It is secluded from other homes, but only a few minutes’ drive to restaurants and stores. The indoor fireplace, large island, comfy couch, and open floor plan made for a really nice gathering space no matter the activity. The stove is a dream to cook on, although the cookware could use a bit of a refresh. But overall a lovely place - we would definitely stay again!

The Bear Wisperer was very nice and as advertised. The only downside of our trip was the grill. Once when we were ready to cook the grill wouldn't go past 200 degrees. Other than that everything was great

We loved our stay here and did not want to leave. The secluded home is exactly what we wanted. Peace and quiet and no one else around you!! The inside of the home is absolutely beautiful and has everything we wanted. Most of our time was spent on the huge wraparound deck enjoying the solitude and wildlife. The lattice gates were a huge bonus that allowed the dogs to enjoy the deck with us and not be restricted to the leash while on the deck. We did our due diligence and read through everything beforehand so we knew what to expect about the steep gravel driveway so that was not an issue. Yes there was spiderwebs and leaves on the deck but you are in the woods that is to be expected, sweep them off and enjoy. Our stay here was relaxing and just what we needed. We have found our perfect rental and have already booked it again.

Beautiful cabin with beautiful location! We spent a long weekend here and loved our stay. More than enough room for our two families (with kids aged 5-12) to fit comfortably. Cabin is well appointed, with windows and great views everywhere you turn. Kitchen has everything we needed to make a variety of meals during our stay. We loved bird watching in the mornings and lucked out with lots of exciting wildlife each day. Aptly named Bear WISPerer as we had a front row view to a mama and her cubs playing and cuddling from our deck for a long while on our last evening. Thanks for a memorable stay!

We had such a great time, it’s very secluded and private, but only a 5 minute drive from the restaurants and activities. Although it does mention that paper products are not provided in the description, they did give a couple rolls of toilet paper and paper towels, though I am glad we brought soaps for the bathrooms! We enjoyed the sauna, fire pit and the hot tub so much. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 3 nights during November with a group of 3 kids and 6 adults. Overall, the home fit our needs and everyone had adequate space. The home is very secluded and private. The road leading up the house is incredibly steep, rough and potholes are everywhere. It would be beneficial to bring your own pots and pans, as the ones in the home did not accommodate making food for 9 guests and were in terrible shape, grill included. Beds were very firm and squeaky.If the aforementioned issues were fixed prior to our stay, we would come back.

If you like, rustic and isolated, you will love this place! It said the top of a hill on a dirt road and deep in the woods. It was very clean, large and comfortable, and we had a great time!

Bear Wisperer is an older home but has all the charm you could ask for! 3 levels offer guests privacy to rest and chill in their own space. Plenty of kitchen space for big family breakfast. The home is secluded enough to see the deer and bears…but close enough to all the great restaurants and shops!

My husband & I along with our dog Yogi had a wonderfully relaxing retreat. The rain gave way to perfect temperatures. We had fires every day and fully enjoyed the sauna, hot tub & jetted tub!! We brought a leaf blower which helped with deck clean-up & enjoyed all of the convenient restaurants & shops. We are return visitors and love the privacy of the property!

This was our second stay at Bear WISPerer, and we couldn't have been happier. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space for all of us! However, we did not have heat for two days, this was during snowy cold winter weather. Dishwasher did not work, spent a lot of time handwashing dishes. House has DISH satellite with no way of watching any of the NYE games. Fireplace flue would not open properly so the house got filled withsmoke. Hard to enjoy the vacation time and be ok with the money we spent with all of these issues.

Absolutely, beautiful property. The house was spacious, private and clean. Fully stocked with everything you would need for a perfect family vacation, the dogs loved running on the wraparound deck. The fire pit area was big hit so was the hot tub. The driveway is in need of some TLC so take their word of advice on needing a 4-wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. A+ from us.

Our time at the bear Wisperer was great. The Sauna and Hot tub were great additions. We had an issue with the hot tub not heating, but Railey was quick to respond. The road leading up to the house is ROUGH.

House is well suited as a base to explore the deep creek region. It is very cozy, well appointed and provides a great location right in the middle of it all, but secluded enough to give you peace.

The house is privately located at the top of a hill with beautiful surrounding woods. Home design was outstanding, both the architecture and decorating. We plan to come back here again. One small note, which the owners disclaimed, is that the road to get in to the property is gravel with large potholes. Four wheel drive a must in the winter.

Bear Wisperer was a great spot for our week long family getaway. The house has four bedrooms nicely distributed among the three floors and a beautiful main family room and adjacent dining room. It is also very close to amenities such as skiing and grocery shopping. Our only complaint is that the mattress/pillows could be replaced as well as a few of the small appliances. That said, minor issues compared to our overall experience with staying there. We should add that the Railey staff were very responsive to our couple of inquiries. We will use Railey for any future trips to the Wisp area.

Pretty house with modern furnishings in private wooded area. Great room and deck were very nice and we appreciated that they had gates for the deck for dogs/young children. Firepit area also nice. Cons - washing machine, dishwasher, and can opener did not work upon arrival, mattresses were so hard several of us developed back problems during our stay. Also very little pantry space to store food. Plan to look elsewhere next year.

Enjoyed house but house needs some improvements, mattresses were very hard in all bedrooms, but overall it meet explications.

Bear Whisperer came as advertised. The house was spotless and had everything you can ask for, Hot Tub, Sauna, Fire Pit, Deck Seating, and more. Location was excellent, close to the grocery store and within view of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked and had very modern appliances, made large family meals a pleasure to cook. The WiFi wasn’t the greatest, still I’d Highly Recommend.

This house was truly gorgeous! It is located close to everything, yet still secluded and private. The high end décor, furniture, and appliances made it especially comfy. The sauna was such a nice amenity and we used it often. The gravel road leading up to the house definitely calls for a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter, but we had no trouble navigating it in the heavy autumn rain. Overall, we loved the Bear WISPERER house!

This house is on a secluded private lot, but just back off the main road. Beautifully decorated. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Gas and wood fire place - but bring your own wood if you can. Overall 10/10. Would recommend.

The home is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. We had a group of 9 plus 2 dogs and it didn't feel crowded at all. It's tucked away in the woods and it's very private and quiet. The many amenities made it extra special-- we really enjoyed the sauna! There was no pool table, but there was a foosball table that my kids played on quite a bit. It's in a great location, close to all the local activities and attractions. Be mindful that the drive leading up to the house is a very steep hill, and it's not paved-- a lot of bumps and a few potholes. Other than that, everything was great. Would highly recommend!
