DESCRIPTION:
Get your ‘Happy Times' on at this lakefront home on one of the most sought-after coves, and best locations on the lake. It’s a perfect spot for docking your boat for fishing, kayaking, swimming, or just sitting back and enjoying the quiet and peaceful cove. The water’s edge is right out the back door! Enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner out on the wrap deck as you overlook the filtered lake views and breathe in the fresh mountain air. The hot tub on the lower deck is great for relaxing and healing those sore muscles all year round. The inside of the home is equipped with all you could need during your stay. From plush furnishings, a loft hangout space, an open kitchen, living, and dining area, you’ll have plenty of space to spread out or gather together. The basement is the perfect hangout space which even includes an antique bar from Ireland that was transported from the family’s restaurant "Whitlows on Wilson" that recently closed the Arlington, VA location after 26 years. You will find that the chalkboard of drink specials, Buck Hunter arcade game, and Tornado foosball table provide hours of fun! In the winter, cozy up by the fire for a movie night and watch the snow fall outside the wall of windows in the great room. With the homes location on the eastern side of Deep Creek Lake, you get to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature but are never far from the excitement of the area. We were very happy with our rental of Happy Times. The house amenities were perfect the a lake home. We did not have any issues at all. Railey Vacations made the rental process very easy and they sent an appropriate amount of reminders and tips to make the stay work well for us. This location was acceptable for an off-season stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed. The bathrooms were clean. The living room and club room furniture was kind of old, unsupportive, and unsightly. We were very disappointed we couldn’t get the TVs to work. We streamed with a laptop instead. We enjoyed playing the foosball and video hunting game. The old bar, and stove in the basement provided a cozy feel. The hot tub was ok - not as comfortable as some I’ve used. The driveway was difficult due to being rather steep, made with gravel, potholes.

I had the most wonderful time staying here! I specifically loved cozying up on the couch (most comfy couch ever) and in the hot tub. Also loved the happy hours drink board in the basement! WIll be returning soon! Great location to vacation or even WFH!

This property worked great for our group of 10. Quiet area of the lake. We saw deer every morning. The hot tub was clean and positioned well on the botton deck, next to the cutest porch swing. The kitchen was well stocked. Kids loved the deer hunter aracade game. I would absolutely stay here again. Steep driveway- but we expected that based on the description provided at booking.

This house is located on a quiet inlet. Great for canoeing (we brought our own). We have stayed here 3 times for a total of 5 weeks, staying for 2 weeks the last two springs. Over the first 3 years of ownership, the owners continually improved the home. This year it was beginning to show some wear. It comfortably sleeps 6, less comfortable for 10.

Amazing cabin, would 100% come back. It’s super private and beautiful, but you do need 4WD during ice / snow season, which was not an issue for us. This made it more into the wild which we loved.

Happy Times rental was what we expected from the reviews and the online descriptions. We had everything we needed at the house and everything worked in the house. It always takes a day or two to settle in and figure out the little quirks of the place. One bathroom sink was draining slowly and we notified RV. Someone came very quickly to fix it. The deck was very dirty with debris from the trees. I’m guessing that the spring cleaning hasn’t been done yet. We managed with a broom and RV offered to do something about it, but we declined. I’m very particular about the cleaning but also recognize that no place is perfect. The towels and sheets were very clean and adequate. There were lots of extra blankets and pillows. The driveway was very steep and had fresh gravel. Our drivers didn’t have a problem but we did use 4 wheel drive to make it more manageable. The dock was great and we spent the sunny times there. The hot tub was great as well. I appreciated the big mats at each entrance.

This is our second visit to this house and we stayed 2 weeks this spring. It is a really nice well decorated home with a beautiful view. The new flooring in the basement and added bedroom with pull out sofa are great additions. The kitchen is well stocked. It has a very nice, spacious master suite on the third floor. There is room to spread out throughout the house. Loved the view and sitting out on the decks and docks. It is on a quieter spot on the glade. We brought our own canoe and love paddling the little stream at the end of the glade as well as paddling out to the main section.

The house was very clean and smelled really good when we entered. It was well appointed and had everything we needed for a relaxing few days away from home. The beds were really comfortable and I loved the sectional in the living room. The downstairs game room was a huge hit with our teenagers. The hot tube was lovely. The gliders on the deck got lots of use during our stay as well. We would definitely stay at this property again the next time we travel with this size group.

Great house, had plenty of room for my friends and myself. We were able to have a lot of time to spend around the fireplace or playing the various games the house provides for the people staying. Had a little gift bag, and very clean place.

The house was perfect! It had anything you could ever need including a smoothie maker! We were so impressed that the owners labeled each light switch!! So helpful!! Nicely decorated and roomy and comfortable! The dock was great for our 2 boats! Only issue, and this is a biggy, renters with boats need to be warned that the drive way is very steep and not easy to turn around in! We had some very scary moments when my husband had to get the boat back up the driveway! When we travel with our boat we usually pack things on the boat and are use to unloading at the house and then putting the boat in the water!

Happy Times is a great house and very comfortable to stay in. We enjoyed the having the dock right on the lake. There is a lot of attention to detail and comfort. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted. The house was very clean, plenty of towels and even cleaning supplies for every day use. We had a few glitches like a smoky smell when we walked in and no strainers in the sink but nothing major that would take away from this being a wonderful place to stay.
