March can bring a variety of weather to our area. We have seen snow during this month, and we have seen warm springtime days making this an unpredictable month for weather. This is typically a less busy time of year, making it a great time to visit for a more quiet setting. Many local waterways are also stocked with fish this month. There are several hot fishing spots on and around the Deep Creek Lake area.

Spring is blossoming by the time April rolls around. As we transition into spring, this is a great time of year to go hiking and mountain biking. Many state parks in the area offer trails to explore, each varying in level of difficulty. Although April is known to bring showers to the season, there are also many great indoor activities around the lake for you to enjoy.

Memorial Day Weekend is a great way to end the school year and kick off summer! The weather is still a bit cooler at night, but the days are getting longer and the sun is getting warmer. The holiday weekend not only brings visitors to the area, but also many events! May is also when many of our seasonal businesses open their doors again for another summer season.
