Wisp Resort is a four seasons resort offering activities for your whole group all year round. Whether it’s a game of golf or snowboarding, you can have a memorable experience at Wisp. With over 33 slopes, 11 miles of trails, and 7 chairlifts, Wisp is our local ski resort. They even host many competitions throughout the inter season which typically runs from Late November to mid-March.
Winter Sports
Wisp is known for its winter slopes, terrain park, and lessons, making it perfect for a skiing & snowboarding trip. You can either bring your own gear or rent it through the resort.
Snow Tubing
Located at the adventure park, you can go tubing & sledding down 12 lanes of fun. Take the conveyor carpet back up to the top with ease for another run! There is even an ice skating rink located next to the park.
Mountain Coaster
Also located next to the tubing park is the mountain coaster. The mountain coaster is open year-round, so you can enjoy amazing lake and mountain views during all four seasons.
Lake Rentals
Looking to get out on the water, but not sure where to go? Venture over to Deep Creek Lake State Park. Here you can enjoy the sandy beach, but also rent a kayak or paddle board to enjoy the water from a different view.
Whitewater Rafting
ASCI, located at Wisp Resort is the world's only mountaintop whitewater rafting course. Get the whole crew together and explore this man-made course for an unforgettable experience.
Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Within the resort's Sundown Village, you can try out cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. Here they offer rentals, lessons, and have trails to explore.
Zip-Lining & Ropes Courses
During the summer season, try for a thrilling adventure throughout Wisp's zip-lining and ropes courses. How much fun does the ‘Chipmunk Challenge’ sound? How about the ‘Spider Monkey Adventure’ or the ‘Flying Squirrel Canopy Tour’? These three ropes courses are designed to challenge climbers of all ages (6+) to series of zip lines, cargo nets, and more. The trained guides will help you get the adventure started.
Golf
There are two top notch golf courses located at Wisp Resort. Fantasy Valley is located at the base of the resort and has top ranked greens to enjoy. At the top of the mountain is Lodestone Golf Course which highlights incredible mountain and lake views.
Chairlift Rides
There may not be any snow on the mountain, but that doesn’t have to keep you away from the chairlifts at Wisp Resort! Grab your camera and a friend (or two!) for a scenic chairlift ride up the mountain to behold spectacular sweeping panoramas of the mountainside overlooking Deep Creek Lake. Once you’re up there, consider a hike on one of Wisp’s mountaintop trails!
