The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Fire on the Mountain fireworks on July 4th, with the display launching around 9:30 pm from the tubing hill at Wisp Resort. Spectators can enjoy the show from several prime viewing spots, including the Rt. 219 overlook, Wisp Resort, the lawn at Garrett College, local McHenry businesses, or by boat on Deep Creek Lake—especially in McHenry Cove. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is July 5th, with updates available online or on local radio stations.
