My friends and I do a trip each year and this was one of the best yet. The location of the home was perfect, private community but close enough to stores and the brewery. The house was VERY clean and there was plenty of room for us to hang out. The back yard was really nice and open, we had perfect weather. Also, I really appreciated the prompt responses from Railey! Overall, a great experience.

Our group of 4 (two couples) thoroughly enjoyed the home. We spent most evenings enjoying the hot tub and fireplace in the back yard. We cooked dinner in the kitchen each night and breakfast each morning. The inside space was comfortable for tv watching and game playing and the location was close enough to Deep Creek Lake area activities that it was easy to get out of the house and have fun!

Great home, quiet location in beautiful neighborhood. Kitchen had every utensil you could hope for, 2 grills. Lovely back yard with wildlife visitors throughout the day. Hot tub and fire pit were our favorite features. Lots of outlets which is great- remember outlet covers if coming with small kiddos (Railey- I’d pay to have that as an option btw). One queen bed very uncomfortable but other three were great. Interior is a bit worn, but comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay!

I love the Deep Creek Lake area and have been coming for short getaways close to 15 years now. Th his house and community were in the perfect location, central to everything we wanted to do, but still very quiet and family friendly!

Built for Fun was awesome for our group of 6 adults. The home looked just like the photos and had a lot of quality amenities such as the large outdoor firepit, a hot tub, two indoor fireplaces, a pool table and two large soaking tubs. The only thing to note was that the mattresses on the beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise, a really great cabin in a really great location!

The house itself was good, just a couple updates would make it nicer (refinish living room floor and paint over all the scratches on the walls)! I just like to rent different houses every time so I can try out new homes!

The house was very nice...the layout is great & the kitchen was very well stocked with cookware , dishes, etc. The TVs & other electronics were great. Hot tub was very nice. We would have been more comfortable if there were a few extra blankets for the beds available. There were extra heavy bed spreads & about 10 extra pillows but not enough blankets to even cover the sofa beds. I should note that at some point, someone allowed their dogs to scratch multiple doors in the house & the hardwood floors are pretty beat up from dog traffic. But with that being said, we had a severely dog allergic person with us & we had no allergic reaction, so it seems the dog issue was long ago. Overall, we would definitely stay again...just suggest that you bring an extra blanket or two (especially if you plan to use the sofa beds).

This house was a perfect spot for our 3 generation family reunion. Clean and spacious, the kitchen is especially well equipped with all the electric aids one could want. With bedrooms spread over 3 floors, there is always a room to escape to for a nap. Lots of parking was also a plus for our group.

Build for Fun is a beautiful place to stay at Deep Creek. The home was well-maintained and had everything needed for keeping house and cooking in for a week. The fire pit was a nice amenity. The two issues we had are related to the development rather than the actual house. We picked this place because we have teen boys and liked the idea of the boat slip for our kayaks and the basketball court. The basketball court was not well-maintained and was missing one hoop altogether. When we arrived and called to inquire about the boat slip, we were told we could not keep our kayaks there--that it was for larger boats. We were told by the rental company that we could go to the Mountainside Marina and talk to them, but it was never open. We did launch our kayaks from the boat slips at the marina, but it was disappointing to not have a place to leave them at the water. We had to keep them at the house and drive them to the lake any time someone wanted to use them. We will definitely look into that detail before we book this kind of rental again. We did enjoy renting a pontoon boat and tube, as well as hiking at nearby Swallow Falls. Overall we were pleased other than the issue with our kayaks.

This home was perfect for our short end of summer family vacation. It was great getting a 3rd night free. The home was in pretty good condition. The kids loved the huge backyard, the jacuzzi worked perfectly. Also loved that it had a pool table and some board games; gave the kids something else to do besides watching TV

My family and I visited with a group of friends recently and an amazing time. It is a big, beautiful house with lots of amenities and in a beautiful setting. As you know, with vacation homes, you have to bring a ton of things with you from staples to all the ingredients you need for meals. We didn't notice many grocery stores in the vicinity so come prepared. We took a hike in the park and a boat ride on the lake, which we recommend. The only thing I noticed was trash under the house (bottles, etc.) so that might need some attention. Oh! And also the house creeks A LOT! That's expected in cabin but it was LOUD, especially the doors so be prepared for that. Otherwise, great stay, with grills and lots of kitchen supplies, fire pit, etc.

My husband and I rented this home with two other couple friends. We were first impressed with the location. Situated on a mountain top resort community right in the middle of Oakland, it was a fantastic woodsy setting, yet right up from the lake. Every morning we walked around the mountain resort community this house is located in and experienced great views and a great hilly workout. There is an amazing coffee shop at the bottom of the mountain called Traders Coffee House that we walked to every morning (it was only 1.3 miles but definitely all up hill on the way back!). I am a super neat/tidy person and get nervous when renting a place I have not seen yet, but this house was cozy, like home, and very clean! My husband and I stayed in the main floor suite and I was pleased that the toilet and sink literally sparkled white. It was not just clean, but you could tell the toilet was new. It was nice that things were kept up to date, not just clean. The wrap around deck was gorgeous for laying out. The fire pit had 4 brand new plastic Adirondack chairs to use. There were two grills to use and the pool table in the basement was a great addition. It is hard to complain about anything, as this rental was fantastic, but some of the kitchen gadgets could use an update (notably the coffee pot) and the main living room furniture could use an update, as could the hot tub. But seriously, I am just being picky because even as a picky person, this place was fantastic!!! We will now be planning to come back next year and stay here again. Thank you for the fantastic visit and care you put into this rental!

There were 8 of us in our party when we rented this place. 4 couples and no one had to sleep in bunk beds! House was very comfortable and the views were nice. Friday we played corn hole in our bare feet and by Sunday we were back in our layers. Since the weather was unfavorable for skiing, our party brought their golf clubs and some of us went on a hike to Swallow Falls. All in all, it was a great weekend with alot of relaxing and laughter. I would stay here again, very clean and comfortable and the rental company met all of our needs! Thanks

After much time spent searching for the perfect house for a long weekend getaway, we finally decided on Built for Fun--and could not have been more pleased. This house has the perfect amount of bedrooms and living space for four adult couples. The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and had all of the amenities you could ask for. It is also the most centrally located and convenient house we have ever stayed at in Deep Creek. We have already decided that we're going to return to this house on an annual basis because we loved it so much. The only thing that could be improved upon would be updates to the TV's in the bedrooms, but honestly, this was such a minor issue due to the little amount of time actually spent in those rooms. Bottom-line, you will not be disappointed by booking this house.
