We had so much fun in spite of losing power the first night. The owner was always in contact making sure everything was going well and he kept us informed of the power situation. My family enjoyed their time specially the kids there was plenty for them to do and not once they complained about being bored. I recommend staying here,we are looking forward to staying here again next year.

The Alvie house is a very accommodating, spacious house for large crowds. We had 19 people with plenty of room to spare. It's situated in a very peaceful and quiet area, and the stars were beautiful.

We did have a slight issue when we arrived with the guest portal, and a tv not having a power cable. I contacted Luke (Railey never responded to the email about the portal) he said he would take care of it if Railey would call. He also came right down to help resolve the power cord issue. Was very friendly and even gave us some history of the area. Stand up guy, made the experience that much better.

Very welcoming home. Plenty of room for everyone! We had 9 adults and 9 children and everyone enjoyed themselves plenty of sleeping arrangements. Loved that they had all kind of activities for the children. Rather inside or out the mud room had activities for outside as well. Loved our time this weekend and the fire pit was the catch! Thank you we will return again❤️

This is our 7th time using this site. This house was amazing. We loved seeing all of the animals everyday. We have stayed in deep creek 3 times. This is now our go to home. We wanted a home big enough for all of us not to feel crowded. This house doesn't let you down. Our father just recently passed away his name Alvey, we thought what a wonderful getaway this will be. Thanks for a amazing time away with our family. We will definitely be back to this home every year.

We recently stayed in Alvie House for the second time. The house was perfect for the party size of 20. The house has plenty to do for everyone. The pros were big kitchen well stocked and labels, pool table, great room, ping pong, fireplaces and scenery. Con is bed (pullout) in in-law suite should be changed not comfortable for even one person to sleep on. The owner and agents for this house were amazing. The power was most of trip and they did everything they could to help us. But even no power we had a great time . Even the kids enjoyed being with out power because they all put their electronics down and interacted with everyone. The only issues with no power is no water meaning no bathroom. We plan on coming back on a future trip.

1705 Foy Road is a wonderful place for a family vacation! The bedrooms/sleeping areas and bathrooms are located so that guests of all ages can be accommodated. There were seventeen of us and everyone had a bed. The house is located less than 10 minutes from a Shop and Save grocery, which we found to be well stocked, and the winter recreation area. The grandchildren particularly liked watching the herd of Scottish Highland cows which roamed in the pasture next to the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There are two large and one small refrigerators. The carpets were a bit worn, but the house was otherwise pleasant and comfortable. My family asked me to arrange another stay here in the future.

Spacious, Good Value, and close enough to the Lake for us

Spacious and an overall good value, was close enough to Deep Creek Lake for us, and we also enjoyed being in a more rural setting- however it may be to far for some. Owner communication, response and feedback was good when we reached out to them. The property could use a couple tweaks and fixes here and there, and smart-phone service was pretty much an ongoing issue- but we did have a lot of users. Overall I would recommend for larger families, we only had 11 but it can sleep a lot more. It was nice having the bedroom window open at night in the summer- but note that you will be up @ dawn along with the birds and cows. This property would have received 5 stars throughout if it had had the tweaks and fixes needed already in place prior to our arrival.

It was a clean house with enough kitchen utensils to use to cook for weeks.
I think the estimate of how many it could sleep is a bit high, but I can see kids using the tiered carpet landings to sleep on.
One of the cows got out and we called the caretaker who came over in about 5 minutes to help herd the calf back in. Such service.
Not next to the lakeside events, but close enough for a short drive into town
